ROUNDUP: Amezcua helps Wildcats salvage draw with Valley

Ruben Amezcua scored in the first half to help Las Vegas High’s boys soccer team earn a 1-1 tie at Valley.
Juan Carlos Gomez scored a first-half goal for the Vikings as both teams moved to 2-0-2 in Northeast League play, good for a share of second place with Desert Pines. All three teams are two points behind Canyon Springs, which improved to 3-0-1 with its win over Sunrise Mountain.
Canyon Springs 6, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Victor Gines scored three goals, and Jose Vidal added two goals as the Pioneers cruised past the Miners.
Jonathan Jauregui also scored for Canyon Springs, which got a shutout from goalkeeper Sixto Lucero.
Desert Pines 6, Chaparral 2 — At Chaparral, Victor Favela scored four goals to lift the Jaguars past the Cowboys.
Diego Sanchez and Hector Hernandez scored a goal apiece for the Jaguars.
The Cowboys’ Mike Lopez scored two first-half goals.
Eldorado 6, Rancho 0 — At Rancho, Luiz Cruz scored three goals as the Sundevils blanked the Rams.
Edgar Duran, Jesse Marta and Aaron Zidales each scored a goal for Eldorado.
Daniel Perez was in goal for the shutout.
Basic 1, Green Valley 1 — At Basic, Lex Freeman’s goal with 10 minutes left in the match allowed the Wolves to earn a tie with the Gators.
Alejandro Pacheco’s second-half goal gave Green Valley a 1-0 lead.
Coronado 5, Foothill 0 — At Foothill, Jordan Yergensen tallied a goal and an assist as the Cougars blanked the Falcons.
Jeremy Habibian, Manny Penagos, Jacob Goodman and Chance Phifer also scored for the Cougars, who got two assists from Jesus Maciel.
Danny Sellitti recorded the shutout for Coronado.
Del Sol 8, Liberty 1 — At Liberty, Mario Hernandez had two goals and two assists to lead the Dragons past the Patriots.
Juan Mendoza added two goals for Del Sol. Jacob Fox, Jesse Romero and Vincent Aldana each netted a goal and an assist for the Dragons, and Roberto Perez also scored.
Daniel Musovski scored for Liberty.
GIRLS
Pahrump Valley 10, Moapa Valley 0 — At Pahrump, Leanne Morrow and Melissa Ewing each scored three goals as the Trojans routed the Pirates.
Brandi Monje scored twice, and Dominique Romero and Sidney Sladek also scored for Pahrump. Sladek added two assists.
Dana Ayala made only one save en route to the shutout.
Faith Lutheran 4, Boulder City 1 — At Boulder City, Dani Theraldson scored two goals to lift the Crusaders past the Eagles.
Marissa Fehrman and Kendall Pori added a goal apiece for Faith Lutheran, which rallied after falling behind 1-0 in the first half.
