ROUNDUP: Arbor View boys rally to nip Cheyenne

Johnny Mayorga scored an unassisted goal with less than five minutes to play Friday as host Arbor View rallied to defeat Cheyenne 2-1 in a boys soccer match.

Cheyenne’s Raul Gutierrez scored on a penalty kick in the first half.

The Aggies’ Michael Cable tied the match early in the second half, also on a penalty kick.

Cimarron-
Memorial 5, Legacy 2 —
At Legacy, Edgar Nava and Scottie Beckwith each scored two goals to lead the Spartans to the win.

Ben Schultz also scored for the Spartans.

Andrew Salazar and Julio Uribe had Legacy’s goals.

Centennial 5, Mojave 1 — At Mojave, Kevin Rogge had three goals and two assists to lead the Bulldogs past the Rattlers.

Oscar Moran and Matt Kurtz also scored for Centennial, which led 2-1 at the half.

Palo Verde 2, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Tyler Yost scored in the first half, and Shane Panther added a second-half goal to lift the Panthers past the Mustangs.

Palo Verde goalkeeper Colton McCann made three saves to earn the shutout.

Del Sol 0, Green Valley 0 — At Green Valley, the Gators’ Andrew Hendrickson and the Dragons’ Gerardo Hernandez each earned a shutout.

Hendrickson made 15 saves.

Hernandez stopped eight shots.

Tech 1, Coronado 1 — At Coronado, Anthony Loicanno scored in the second half as the Cougars earned a tie with the Roadrunners.

Tech’s Jose Guiza scored in the first half.

Silverado 6, Liberty 2 — At Silverado, Chase Leaders scored two goals to help the Skyhawks down the Patriots.

Gary Diego added a goal and three assists for Silverado. Kyle Mellies had a goal and two assists.

Kyle Perea and Devin Diego also scored for Silverado.

Mario Huerta and Firas Massis had Liberty’s goals.

Foothill 8, Basic 3 — At Basic, Christian Volesky scored four goals and had two assists to lead the Falcons past the Wolves.

Drew Suites added three goals and an assist for Foothill, which led 4-2 at halftime. Efrain Meza also scored and had three assists.

Irving Cabrera, Chris Ramirez and Andreas Macavei scored for Basic.

White Pine 11, Moapa Valley 0 — At Ely, Tony Gomez had four goals and Tommy Tolbert scored three as the Bobcats routed the Pirates.

Thomas Pyeatt, Johnny Holloway, Colton Stones and Jacob Bradshaw each added a gaol for White Pine. Goalkeepers Nathan Hughes and Roey Robison combined on the shutout.
