Roundup: Canyon Springs rallies to beat Desert Pines
The Canyon Springs boys soccer team scored four goals in the second half Wednesday to overcome a 2-0 halftime deficit and beat host Desert Pines, 4-2.
Cris Mata, Juan Santillan, Leo Cruz and Ruben Garcia each scored once for the Pioneers, and Sergio Felix had two assists.
Joel Sanchez and Erick Santillan both had a goal and an assist for Desert Pines.
Eldorado 1, Arbor View 0 — At Arbor View, Leonel Sedano scored in the first half on an assist from Roberto Gonzalez and the Sundevils held on to nip the Aggies.
Emiliano Garcia got the shutout for Eldorado.
Shadow Ridge 0, Rancho 0 — At Rancho, Ian Dalton made six saves in the Mustangs’ draw with the Rams.
Rancho goalkeeper Oziel Serrano made two saves.
Las Vegas 3, Legacy 0 — At Las Vegas High, Sergio Aguayo had two goals and an assist, and Nathan Zamora scored a goal to help the Wildcats blank the Longhorns.
Rodolfo Gomez had six saves and got the shutout for Las Vegas, which scored all of its goals in the second half.
Drew Bowden and Enilson Contreras each supplied an assist for the Wildcats.
Cimarron-Memorial 3, Faith Lutheran 0 — At Cimarron, Dylan Crosby-Moghadam made three saves and got the shutout in the Spartans’ win over the Crusaders.
George Balcazar, Jimi Villasenor and Fernando Arevalo each scored once for Cimarron.
Diego Zacarias had two assists for the Spartans.
Bonanza 4, Centennial 1 — At Centennial, Alex Kiss had a goal and two assists as the Bengals ran away form the Bulldogs.
Jonas Bryant and Martin Rodriguez-Gutierrez each had a goal and an assist for the Bengals, and teammate Efrain Mayorga had a goal.
Tyler Rogge had Centennial’s goal.
Green Valley 5, Silverado 1 — At Green Valley, Kai Zurflueh had two goals and an assist to lead the Gators over the Skyhawks.
Dominick Mesa, Daniel McCracken and Ryan Marcelino scored for Green Valley.
Palo Verde 8, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Michael Vogel scored three times as the Panthers routed the Desert Shields.
Anthony Kaskie had a goal and three assists for Palo Verde, and Tanner Stevenson had a goal and two assists.
Bryan Montoya scored twice for the Panthers, and teammate Luis Flores scored once.
