ROUNDUP: Centennial cruises in sixth consecutive shutout
Centennial’s boys soccer team posted its sixth straight shutout and ninth of the season Wednesday, cruising to a 4-0 win at Arbor View.
Julien Mihy was in goal for the Bulldogs, who have allowed only three goals in 11 matches this season and are 10-0-1 overall.
Chance Rosa, Thomas Gibson, Oscar Moran and Jonathan Lennstreom-Nystroem each scored a goal for Centennial.
Palo Verde 5, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Max Amster had a goal and an assist as Palo Verde did all of its scoring in the first half and breezed past the Rattlers.
Justin Mayorga, Ramon Alas-Cruz, Michael Shapiro and Alexander Shackley also scored for the Panthers, and Matej Kustura added two assists.
Colton McCann made two saves to record a shutout.
Legacy 0, Faith Lutheran 0 — At Community Park, the Longhorns and Crusaders played to a scoreless tie.
Legacy’s Edgar Reynoso made seven saves.
Faith Lutheran’s Marc Davies made five saves.
Cimarron-Memorial 0, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, the Spartans and Desert Shields played to a scoreless draw.
Cimarron’s Alex Ramirez and Cheyenne’s Aurelio Ramirez posted the shutouts.
Western 2, Sierra Vista 1 — At Sierra Vista, Abraham Navarro broke a 1-1 tie with 10 minutes remaining, lifting Western past the Mountain Lions.
Nelson Ponce also scored for the Warriors.
Christian Cruz scored for Sierra Vista.
Clark 6, Pahrump Valley 1 — At Clark, Salvador Bernal scored four goals and had one assist as the Chargers downed Pahrump.
Ivan Ojendiz and Freddie Araujo also scored for the Chargers, who got two assists apiece from Juan Chavez and Ray Saavedra.
Teandre Small scored for the Trojans.
Spring Valley 1, Bonanza 0 — At Bonanza, Nadav Elemelich’s goal with 11 minutes remaining lifted the Grizzlies past the Bengals.
Alex Quintero recorded the shutout for Spring Valley.
Bishop Gorman 7, Durango 2 — At Durango, Austin Cain scored three goals as the Gaels pulled away from a 1-1 halftime tie and routed the Trailblazers.
Mike Gray, Desi Alazetta, Max Anderson and Shane Thompson also scored for Gorman. Thompson and Sean Zaher had two assists apiece.
Arjenis Bautista and Ryan Benavente scored for Durango.
