ROUNDUP: Cheyenne earns first league win in boys soccer

Cheyenne scored four goals in the second half Thursday to collect its first Northwest League boys soccer win of the season, a 4-0 victory over visiting Shadow Ridge.

The Desert Shields improved to 2-10-2 overall, 1-9-2 in league play.

Dennis Hutchinson, Victor Ramos, Brandon Moss and Jackson Collins each scored for Cheyenne.

Aurelio Ramirez and Carlos Moz combined on the shutout.

Legacy 3, Arbor View 0 — At Arbor View, Edwin Cisneros made 15 saves to earn the shutout in the Longhorns’ win over the Aggies.

Julio Uribe, Danny Acero and Ivan Saucedo scored for Legacy.

Palo Verde 4, Mojave 1 — At Palo Verde, the Panthers had four scorers and rolled after leading 3-0 at halftime.

Justin Mayorga, Josh Leiserowitz, Francisco Rivero and Matthew Polster scored for Palo Verde. Irvin Gijon, Alex Shackley and Polster had assists.

Alex Almaraz scored Mojave’s lone goal.

Centennial 2, Cimarron 1 — At Cimarron, Kevin Rogge scored two goals for the Bulldogs, including the game-winner in the second half, against the Spartans.

Joe Garcia scored Cimarron’s lone goal.

Coronado 1, Del Sol 0  — At Coronado, Anthony Loiacono scored midway through the second half to lift the Cougars over the Dragons.

Danny Sellitti had seven saves to earn the shutout.

Silverado 4, Foothill 0 — At Silverado, Chase Leaders scored twice to lead the Skyhawks past the Falcons.

Devin Diego and Gary Diego each had a goal and an assist for Silverado.

Justin Close made four saves to earn the shutout.

Tech 1, Basic 0 — At Basic, Santiago Corona scored the only goal midway through the second half to help Tech clinch at least a share of the Southeast League title.

Edgar Velazguez recorded the shutout for the Roadrunners.

Green Valley 9, Liberty 1 — At Green Valley, Tim Shue had four goals and two assists, and Rodrigo Medina had two goals and two assists as the Gators defeated the Patriots.

Christian Castro had two goals, and Brian Artmann added a goal and an assist for Green Valley.

Faras Massis scored the lone goal for Liberty.

Boulder City 5, Lake Mead 0 — At Boulder City, Bradley Nilsen scored two goals and had an assist to lead Boulder City past Lake Mead.

Dan Raddant, Todd Teepen and Mike Smith also scored for Boulder City, with Raddant adding two assists.

Mitchell Lyon and Richard Pappas shared time in goal for Boulder City.

The Meadows 2, Virgin Valley 0 — At Mesquite, Toby Warburton had a goal and an assist to help the Mustangs beat the Bulldogs.

Alex Karabachev also scored for The Meadows.

Ofir Barashy made two saves to earn the shutout.
