ROUNDUP: Gallegos, Bengals topple top-ranked Gaels

Jose Gallegos scored on a breakaway midway through the second half Monday to help Bonanza’s boys soccer team stun top-ranked and host Bishop Gorman, 1-0.

Hector Cassillas and Omar Cortez combined on the shutout for Bonanza, which was unranked in the latest coaches poll.

Legacy 2, Centennial 1 — At Centennial, Saul Aguirre’s goal midway through the second half broke a 1-1 tie and allowed the Longhorns to edge the Bulldogs.

Legacy trailed 1-0 at halftime, but tied the match on an own goal.

Cobi Hunt scored for Centennial.

Rancho 6, Green Valley 4 — At Rancho, Aaron Ortiz scored three goals as the Rams erased a 2-0 halftime deficit with six second-half goals and beat the Gators.

David Russell had a goal and two assists, and Miguel Dias-Ortiz had a goal and an assist for Rancho, which got a goal from Brandon Contreras.

Daniel Mojica, Ivan Rodriguez and Antonio Trama scored for Green Valley.

Liberty 1, Coronado 0 — At Coronado, Danny Musovski scored a first-half goal to help the Patriots edge the Cougars.

Goalkeeper Chris Bradford earned the shutout for Liberty.

Tech 2, Desert Pines 0 — At Desert Pines, Derian Salcido and Salvador Garcia each had a goal as the Roadrunners blanked the Jaguars.

Christian Mojarro recorded the shutout for Tech.

Silverado 3, Canyon Springs 2 — At Canyon Springs, Tommy Fullerton, Oscar Guzman and Antonio Sanchez each had a goal as the Skyhawks nipped the Pioneers.

Dakota Hallaway had two assists for Silverado.

Mickey Rodriguez and Gaspar Gonzalez each scored a goal for Canyon Springs.

Del Sol 2, Basic 1 — At Basic, Luis Mendez and Jorge Preciado each scored a second-half goal as the Dragons erased a 1-0 halftime deficit and edged the Wolves.

Cesar Amador scored for Basic.

Clark 3, Boulder City 1 — At Boulder City, Eduardo Martinez scored twice to help the Chargers top the Eagles.

Clark also benefited from an own goal.

Massimo Barbieri scored for Boulder City.

Sierra Vista 4, Arbor View 0 — At Sierra Vista, Miles McRae had two goals and two assists as the Mountain Lions blanked the Aggies.

Truitt Evans had two goals and an assist for Sierra Vista. Francisco Cruz made three saves in the shutout.

Shadow Ridge 4, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Blake Damato scored two goals to lead the Mustangs past the Grizzlies.

Cody Westlung and Dominick Damato also scored for Shadow Ridge.

Desert Oasis 4, Virgin Valley 0 — At Desert Oasis, Eric Biorato scored twice to help the Diamondbacks beat the Bulldogs.

Heson Ramirez and Diego Hidalgo each added a goal for Desert Oasis, which got two assists from Alejandro Jimenez.

Damien Herrera and David Fernandez combined on the shutout.

Palo Verde 3, Durango 1 — At Durango, Austin Pollster had a goal and an assist to lead the Panthers past the Trailblazers.

Austin Manthey and Eduardo Renteria also scored for Palo Verde.

Wasajja Walugembe scored for Durango.

Cimarron-Memorial 4, Cheyenne 0 — At Cimarron, Oso Valencia had three goals and an assist as the Spartans downed the Desert Shields.

David Martinez added a goal and an assist for Cimarron.

Richard Crews made five saves en route to the shutout.

The Meadows 1, Moapa Valley 1 —
At Overton, Magnus Mortvedt’s goal with 10 minutes remaining allowed the Pirates to tie the Mustangs.

Austin Lee scored a first-half goal for The Meadows.

Eldorado 7, Foothill 1 — At Foothill, Edgar Duran had five goals and an assist to help the Sundevils to the easy victory over the Falcons.

Chris Perez added a goal and three assists, and Andres Lua had a goal and two assists for Eldorado.

Austin Anderson scored for Foothill.

Faith Lutheran 2, Chaparral 1 — At Faith Lutheran, D’Khari Hicks and Sam Stevens scored in the second half as the Crusaders edged the Cowboys.

Jose Martinez scored in the first half for Chaparral.

Las Vegas 12, Valley 1 — At Las Vegas, Alexis Berrios had five goals and two assists, and Abraham Paz added three goals and two assists as the Wildcats routed the Vikings.

Danny Nunez and Ricardo Guzman each had a goal and an assist, and Roberto Ramos and Jesus Corral also scored for Las Vegas. Adrian Pinal, Estevan Benavides and Alan Garcia each assisted on two goals for the Wildcats.

Dawit Tesfa scored for Valley.
