Roundup: Gustavo Garcia scores go-ahead goal as Cimarron downs Arbor View

Gustavo Garcia scored the go-ahead goal in the 58th minute as Cimarron-Memorial’s boys soccer team held on for a 3-1 home victory over Arbor View in the Southern Nevada Kick-off Classic on Friday.

Garcia also added an assist, and Miguel Rubio and Diego Zacharias each had a goal and an assist for Cimarron.

Javy Milans scored the lone goal for Arbor View.

Centennial 1, Clark 0 — At Cimarron, Ariel Garcia scored the game’s lone goal in the first half to power the Bulldogs over the Chargers in the Southern Nevada Kick-off Classic.

Jacob Mays made four saves to preserve Centennial’s shutout.

Tech 2, Foothill 0 — At Tech, Alex Meija and Juan Mota each scored a goal in the first half as the Roadrunners defeated the Falcons in the Southern Nevada Kick-off Classic.

Tech’s Angel Nunez and Eddie Gomez each had an assist.

Kenny Flores and Yovani Garcia combined for the shutout.

Palo Verde 3, Las Vegas 1 — At Tech, Michael Vogel had a goal and an assist to lead the Panthers over the Wildcats in the Southern Nevada Kick-off Classic.

Antonio Gomez and Timothy Stephens each scored for Palo Verde.

Sergio Aguayo scored the Wildcats’ goal.

Liberty 3, Sierra Vista 1 — At Green Valley, Ben Stang had a pair of goals and an assist to help the Patriots beat the Mountain Lions in the Southern Nevada Kick-off Classic.

Hayden Prasad had a goal and two assists for the Patriots.

Tanner Erwin scored an unassisted goal for the Mountain Lions.

Green Valley 5, Pahrump Valley 1 — At Green Valley, Estevan Uribe scored twice to help the Gators run away from the Trojans in the Southern Nevada Kick-off Classic.

Ian Meyers, Diego Uribe and Zachary Hanson had the Gators’ other goals.

Alvaro Garcia scored for the Trojans.

Spring Creek 2, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Green Valley, the Spartans scored once in each half to down the Trojans in the Southern Nevada Kick-off Classic.

Faith Lutheran 3, Green Valley 0 — At Green Valley, Carson Merrill, Terrence Thibedi and Ari Sirvent each scored a goal as the Crusaders defeated the Gators in the Southern Nevada Kick-off Classic.

Goalkeeper Landon Amick recorded a clean sheet and had three saves.

Durango 4, Chaparral 0 — At Cimarron, Tyson Tesfamariam scored two second-half goals to lead the Trailblazers to a victory over the Cowboys in the Southern Nevada Kick-off Classic.

Durango’s Marcos Delgado and Gael Delangel-Parra each scored a goal.

Goalkeeper Nikolas Todorovich recorded a shutout with seven saves.

Western 4, Silverado 1 — At Cimarron, the Warriors built a 2-0 halftime lead en route to defeating the Skyhawks in the Southern Nevada Kick-off Classic.

Juan Estrada, Julio Flores, Bryan Jimenez and Andy Rodriguez each scored for Western.

Isaac Allen scored for Silverado.

Bishop Gorman 3, Truckee 0 — At Reno, the Gaels netted two second-half goals to pull away from the Wolverines in the Howell Memorial Tournament.

Corriga Neville, Brophy Howard and Caden Buckley each scored for the Gaels, and Alexander Daseler had two assists. Larcon Altschul also had an assist for Gorman.

Diesel Fiore had a three-save shutout for the Gaels.

Bishop Gorman 3, Elko 2 — At Reno, Vincent Turk scored on a penalty kick as time expired to break the tie and give the Gaels the victory over the Indians in the Howell Memorial Tournament.

Jeffrey Wright and Hayden Madsen each scored to help the Gaels erase a 2-0 halftime deficit.

Daseler and Neville each had an assist for Gorman.

Coronado 2, Carson 2 — At Reno, the Cougars defeated the Senators on penalty kicks in the Howell Memorial Tournament.

John Lynam scored two goals for Coronado, which led 2-1 at halftime.

Coronado 3, Sparks 0 — At Reno, Lynam scored a pair of goals, and the Cougars stormed to a 3-0 halftime lead en route to defeating the Railroaders in the Howell Memorial Tournament.

Brock Rideout added a goal for Coronado.

Bradley Bolduc made three saves in the shutout.

Canyon Springs 10, Equipo Academy 1 — At Canyon Springs, Ramon Urias-Medina had three goals to lead the Pioneers’ rout of the Yeti.

Edgar Muniz had two goals for the Pioneers, and Franklin Ramirez, Roberto Salazar, Eduardo Quintero-Rodriguez, Jesus Gonzalez and Cris Mata each had one.

Jesus Gonzalez had three assists for the Pioneers, and Edgar Donate had two.
