ROUNDUP: Musovski helps Liberty end five-season winless streak
Danny Musovski tallied three goals and an assist Friday to lift Liberty’s boys soccer team to its first win in five seasons with a 6-0 home victory over Moapa Valley.
Giuliano Lopez added two goals, and Victor Marquez scored once for the Patriots, who got two assists from Firas Massis.
Logan Christie recorded the shutout for Liberty.
Cimarron-Memorial 2, Cheyenne 1 — At Cimarron, Corey Ackley scored two goals, including the match-winning penalty kick with four minutes remaining Friday, as the Spartans rallied from an early deficit to edge the Desert Shields.
Sergio Benavides gave the Desert Shields a 1-0 lead only 15 seconds into the match.
Ackley used his head to redirect a corner kick by David Martinez in the second half to tie the match, then converted on the penalty kick in the closing minutes.
Legacy 3, Faith Lutheran 0 — At Legacy, Saul Aguirre scored two goals and assisted on Stefan Skrinjaric’s goal as the Longhorns blanked Faith Lutheran.
Ramon Carvajal earned the shutout for Legacy.
Arbor View 0, Centennial 0 — At Centennial, the teams played to a scoreless tie.
The Aggies’ Christian Hallstrom and the Bulldogs’ Adrian Rodriguez each recorded a shutout.
Pahrump Valley 2, Clark 1 — At Clark, Martin Apolinar and Bryce Moser each scored a first-half goal as the Trojans held off the Chargers.
Jose Munoz’s second-half goal accounted for Clark’s scoring.
Western 2, Sierra Vista 1 — At Western, Joshua Ballard netted a goal and an assist, and Jair Perez added a goal as the Warriors held off a late rally by the Mountain Lions.
