Roundup: Palo Verde scores twice in final minutes to beat Cimarron

Palo Verde’s Presten Manthey scored the go-ahead goal off an assist from Zechariah Ruffer with five minutes remaining Monday afternoon as the Panthers’ soccer team rallied for a 2-1 win at Cimarron-Memorial.

Michael Vogel scored the equalizer just a few minutes before for Palo Verde, which trailed 1-0 at halftime.

Miguel Rubio scored for Cimarron.

Legacy 2, Shadow Ridge 1 — At Legacy, Randolph Anderson had a goal and an assist to lift the Longhorns over the Mustangs.

Diego Gonzalez-Ruiz added a goal, and goalkeeper Oliver Garcia made nine saves to preserve the win for Legacy.

Peter Jankowski scored for Shadow Ridge.

Centennial 4, Faith Lutheran 2 — At Faith Lutheran, Jacob Mecham had two goals and an assist to power the Bulldogs past the Crusaders.

Ahmed Green and Tyler Rogge each added a goal for Centennial, which led 2-0 at halftime.

Gabriel Miranda had a goal and an assist, and Raymond Blake Millero also scored for Faith Lutheran.

Sunrise Mountain 9, Mojave 1 — At Sunrise Mountain, Bryan Martinez had five goals and two assists, and Felipe Lucero added two goals and two assists to lead the Miners past the Rattlers.

Angel Arreola had a goal and three assists, and Bryan Garcia-Miranda notched a goal and an assist for Sunrise Mountain, which led 4-1 at halftime.

Chris Reyes scored on a penalty kick for Mojave.

Tech 5, Arbor View 2 — At Arbor View, Alan Lopez had two goals and three assists as the Roadrunners pulled away from the Aggies.

Cruz Velzquez had two goals and an assist for Tech, and teammate Aaron Castro scored a goal.

Nicklaus Dongmann scored both of Arbor View’s goals.

Western 8, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Pahrump, Juan Estrada had three goals and an assist to lead the Warriors in a rout of the Trojans.

Juan Arredondo-Alvarez and Henry Ceballos each had a goal and an assist. Elizandro Zaragoza, Andy Rodriguez and Bryan Jiminez each had a goal for the Warriors.

Goalkeepers Hassan Mhina and Francisco Corona combined for the shutout.

Desert Pines 8, Adelson School 0 — At Desert Pines, Brandon Najera scored twice, and Erick Santillan had a goal and two assists in the Jaguars’ victory over the Lions.

Christian Enamorado-Dominguez had a goal and an assist for Desert Pines, which also got goals from Hector Zamilpa-Romero, Joel Sanchez, Joseph Musengo and Daniel Delgado.

Justin Becerra recorded the shutout.
