ROUNDUP: Valencia’s hat trick lifts Cimarron boys over Liberty

Oso Valencia scored once in the first half and twice in the second half Monday to lead Cimarron-Memorial’s boys soccer team to a 3-2 victory over visiting Liberty.

Garrick Quackenbush had two assists for the Spartans.

Danny Musovski scored both goals for the Patriots.

Palo Verde 2, Green Valley 2 — At Green Valley, Austin Pollster and Eduardo Renteria each had a goal as the Panthers overcame a 1-0 halftime deficit to earn a tie with the Gators.

Bryan Baugh and Gitai Gizala scored for Green Valley.

Del Sol 3, Valley 0 — At Del Sol, Randy Delemos scored twice to lift the Dragons over the Vikings.

Gerardo Aguilar added a goal, and Juan Mendoza recorded the shutout for Del Sol.

Centennial 3, Shadow Ridge 1 — At Shadow Ridge, Nathan Thomas scored two goals, and the Bulldogs rallied from a 1-0 halftime deficit to down the Mustangs.

Justin Anderson also scored for Centennial, which got two assists from Miguel Nieto.

Blake Damato had Shadow Ridge’s goal.

Virgin Valley 4, Basic 1 — At Basic, the Bulldogs scored four second-half goals to top the Wolves.

Gabe Medina had a goal and two assists to lead Virgin Valley. Efren Rodriguez added a goal and an assist, and Moises Medina scored a goal for the Bulldogs.

Santos Torres scored for Basic.

GIRLS

Shadow Ridge 2, Centennial 0 — At Centennial, Taylor Lopez scored a pair of second-half goals to lift the Mustangs past the Bulldogs.

Dallas Gunny made 11 saves to earn the shutout.

Palo Verde 1, Green Valley 1 — At Palo Verde, Alexa D’Acunto’s second-half goal allowed the Panthers to tie the Gators.

Kayla Anderson’s penalty-kick goal gave Green Valley a 1-0 halftime lead.

Cimarron-Memorial 1, Liberty 1 — At Liberty, Ryann Abeyta’s goal early in the second half allowed the Spartans to tie the Patriots.

April Ficarotta scored for Liberty.

Basic 2, Virgin Valley 0 — At Mesquite, Jacqueline Valdez had a goal and an assist to help the Wolves blank the Bulldogs.

Lisvette Herrera also scored for Basic, which got a five-save shutout from Julia Gardner.
