Roundup: William Hailu scores twice as Durango tops Gorman
William Hailu scored twice to lead Durango’s boys soccer team to a 4-2 home victory over Bishop Gorman on Monday.
Jaime Munguia added a goal and an assist, and Marcos Delgado scored for Durango.
Trailblazers goalkeeper Nikolas Todorovich saved a penalty kick in the second half with Durango leading 3-2.
Jeffrey Wright and Hayden Madsen each had a goal for the Gaels.
Bonanza 1, Desert Oasis 1 — At Desert Oasis, Jonsas Bryant scored in the second half on an assist by Sergie Delgado to give the the Bengals a tie with the Diamondbacks.
Ethan Kovach scored in the first half on an assist by Alan Flores for the Diamondbacks.
Clark 3, Spring Valley 3 — At Clark, the Grizzlies scored three goals in the second half to earn a draw with the Chargers.
Spring Valley’s John Goecke, Bum Cho, and Dominic Velasco each scored one goal.
Clark’s Tesfu Mebretom scored two goals, and teammate Christopher Appah scored once. Abraham Dolley had three assists for the Chargers.
Silverado 3, Basic 1 — At Basic, David Matias-Flores, Jaime Ayala and Conner Barlow each scored second-half goals to lead the Skyhawks past the Wolves.
Matias-Flores and Barlow also had assists.
Elijah Buchanan scored for Basic, which led 1-0 at halftime.
Coronado 3, Green Valley 1 — At Green Valley, Alfredo Diaz scored two goals to lead the Cougars over the Gators.
John Lynam added a goal and an assist for Coronado, which led 2-0 at the half.
Palo Verde 4, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Preston Manthey and Timothy Stephens each had a goal and an assist as the Panthers topped the Mustangs.
Palo Verde’s Zechariah Ruffer and Michael Venezia each added a goal, and Ryan Nogues and Henry Robledo-Matadamas each had an assist.
Goalkeeper Hudson Huckfeldt made one save in the shutout.
