GIRLS SOCCER: First-half surge lifts Bengals over Bulldogs

Ashley Alonzo-Bonilla and Adri Martinez each scored a first-half goal to help Bonanza’s girls soccer team to a 2-0 win over visiting Centennial on Monday.

Alexa Brown assisted on both goals.

Samantha Haeick made eight saves to get the shutout.

Faith Lutheran 0, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Pahrump, the Crusaders and Trojans played to a scoreless draw.

Faith Lutheran’s Beka Lescenski and Pahrump’s Kiaya Nauck recorded the shutouts.

Moapa Valley 0, Virgin Valley 0 — At Mesquite, the Pirates and Bulldogs played to a scoreless tie in a match that was stopped 23 minutes into the second half.

After warning the coaches at halftime, the referee halted the match due to fan behavior.

Moapa Valley’s Cymoni Cooper made six saves, including one on a penalty kick. Virgin Valley’s Spencer Green stopped three shots.

Desert Oasis 5, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, five players had a goal to lead the Diamondbacks by the Longhorns.

Sydni Aldan, Cassidy Motis, Kayla Saucedo, Neva Newling and Gabriella Nevinger each scored once for Desert Oasis, which got two assists from Cayla Lee.

Tiara Rosenberg made four saves to earn the shutout.

Bishop Gorman 5, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Cimarron, Kaila Brinkman had two goals and an assist, and the Gaels did all of their scoring in the second half to top the Spartans.

Daisy Cabrera had a goal and an assist, and Arlie Jones and Claire Standaert also scored for Gorman, which got two assists from Hannah Borgel.

Jessica Anaya and Danielle Maatouk combined on the shutout.

Desert Pines 6, Sunrise Mountain 1 — At Desert Pines, Genessis Martinez had three goals to help the Jaguars down the Miners.

Selena Rodriguez added two goals, and Cindy Gramajo also scored for Desert Pines.

Brittany Sousa netted Sunrise Mountain’s goal.

Tech 6, Boulder City 0 — At Boulder City, Abrana Wielgosiak scored two goals to help the Roadrunners blank the Eagles.

Alex Guzman, Melissa Lopez, Rebeca Rivera, Adriana Guzman each scored a goal for the Roadrunners.

Elena Duenas recorded the shutout.

Cheyenne 7, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Jocelyn Vasquez had two goals and two assists as the Desert Shields routed the Rattlers.

Lesly Rodriguez had two goals, and Amairani Gomez added a goal and an assist for Cheyenne, which also got goals from Selene Barajas and Vanessa Hernandez.

Josie Lourenco had two assists for Cheyenne.

Clark 7, Western 1 — At Clark, Darian Gambetta scored four goals as the Chargers routed the Warriors.

Ariana Reyes added two goals and an assist, and Leticia Vazquez had a goal and an assist for Clark, which led 1-0 at the half. Stephanie Chavez had two assists for the Chargers.

Ellison Reynada scored for Western.
