GIRLS SOCCER: Nogues’ penalty kick lifts Palo Verde by Mustangs

Jadyn Nogues converted a penalty kick in the final minute of the match Wednesday to lift Palo Verde’s girls soccer team to a 2-1 win at Shadow Ridge.

Nogues also scored in the first half for the Panthers.

Taylore Simmons scored for the Mustangs.

Sunrise Mountain 1, Tech 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Yovana Alvidez scored off an assist from Miriam Galvez with seven minutes left in the match to lift the Miners by the Roadrunners.

Christina Lark made four saves to earn the shutout.

Moapa Valley 1, Boulder City 0 — At Overton, Alexia Schraft scored a second-half goal on an assist from Romina Parra to lift the Pirates over the Eagles.

Jordan Morwood had two saves en route to the shutout.

Rancho 3, Eldorado 1 — At Eldorado, Saippress Jones scored twice to lead the Rams by the Sundevils.

Faith White added a goal for Rancho.

Brianna Duran scored for Eldorado.

Desert Pines 1, Chaparral 1 — At Chaparral, Lizuly Mireles scored a first-half goal to help the Jaguars tie the Cowboys.

Leticia Ibarra had a first-half goal for Chaparral.

Green Valley 4, Foothill 1 — At Foothill, Alexis Kirson scored twice to lead the Gators by the Falcons.

Isabel Madrid and Chela Anglin each scored once for Green Valley.

Myriah Epino scored for Foothill.

Virgin Valley 7, Del Sol 0 — At Mesquite, Abbie Barnum had three goals and an assist to lead the Bulldogs by the Dragons.

Katie Zuniga and Kallie Graves each added a goal and an assist, and Shantel Galindo and Marlene Quirarte also scored for Virgin Valley.

Spencer Green made one save en route to the shutout.

Coronado 9, Basic 0 — At Basic, Taylor Kornieck had five goals and an assist, and Olivia Meza had two goals and four assists to power the Cougars over the Wolves.

Carli Young had a goal and two assists, and Katelyn Moxley added a goal for Coronado, which got two assists from Leili Rosenberg.

Rachel Morris recorded the shutout for the Cougars.

Legacy 10, Durango 0 — At Durango, Gabriella Lancaster scored four goals and had one assist, and Brittani Snook added three goals and three assists to lead the Longhorns by the Trailblazers.

Isabella Skrinjaric had a goal and two assists for Legacy, which also got goals from Sydnie Lucas and Odaris Ellis.
