GIRLS SOCCER: Rankin makes 21 saves as Liberty ties Diamondbacks
Lydia Rankin made 21 saves Friday to help Liberty’s girls soccer team earn a 0-0 tie at Desert Oasis.
Diamondback goalkeepers Kelsey LeBoeuf and Kylee Bauer combined for one save.
Arbor View 0, Green Valley 0 — At Green Valley, the Aggies and Gators played to a scoreless tie in the Las Vegas Kick-Off.
Haylee Niemann made three saves for Arbor View.
Kiyana Lopez made five saves for Green Valley.
Shadow Ridge 3, Las Vegas 1 — At Green Valley, Taylore Simmons had a goal and an assist to help the Mustangs top the Wildcats in the Las Vegas Kick-Off.
Brianna Haworth and Samantha Villa also scored for Shadow Ridge, which got two assists from Joey Wright.
Alyssa Mireles scored for Las Vegas.
Sierra Vista 3, Western 2 — At Sierra Vista, Calista Reyes had two goals and an assist in the first half as the Mountain Lions held off the Warriors.
Danielle Johnson also scored for Sierra Vista.
Ellyson Reynada scored both of Western’s goals.
Canyon Springs 1, Basic 0 — At Canyon Springs, Leticia Godoy-Pacheco’s second half goal helped the Pioneers nip the Wolves.
Andrea Pioquinto made four saves to earn the shutout.
Cheyenne 4, Clark 2 — At Clark, Girly Tambeagbor and Yadira Erives each scored twice to lead the Desert Shields by the Chargers.
Clark’s Darian Gambetta scored and assisted on Eyker Milan’s goal.
Bonanza 2, Virgin Valley 0 — At Bonanza, Abby Mayorga and Shane Dunn each scored once to lead the Bengals by the Bulldogs.
Alicia Kestner made eight saves to earn the shutout.
Cimarron-Memorial 5, Rancho 1 — At Cimarron, Annalise Esparza had two goals to lead the Spartans by the Rams.
Natasha Martin had a goal and three assists, and Jazmin Centeno and Jenny Acevedo also scored for Cimarron.
Faith White scored for Rancho.
