ROUNDUP: Martinez, Chaparral girls sink Pirates

Rosa Martinez fired in four goals Wednesday to lead Chaparral’s girls soccer team to a 5-2 win over visiting Moapa Valley.

Kendra George tallied a goal, and Erika Zarate supplied two assists for the Cowboys.

Marie Johansen and Hanna Leavitt scored for the Pirates.

Faith Lutheran 5, Mojave 1 — At Mojave, Arianna Weide supplied two goals and an assist, and teammate Kristi Chinn had two goals to lead the Crusaders to a rout over the Rattlers.

Emily Neighbors added a goal for Faith Lutheran.

Helena Hernandez scored for Mojave.

Bonanza 9, Legacy 1 — At Bonanza, Kara Kwasniowski racked up four goals and two assists to lead the Bengals to a rout of the Longhorns.

Megan Cousineau and Shelby Yuhas both added two goals, and Angeline Guerrero scored for Bonanza, which got two assists from Alexa Brown.

Tavia Wells scored for Legacy.

Bishop Gorman 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Desert Oasis, Katie Turner had a goal and an assist as the Gaels blanked the Diamondbacks.

Ariana Cabrera and Corynne McEachern also scored for Gorman.

Jessica Anaya and Danielle Maatouk combined on the shutout.

Centennial 5, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Cimarron, Hollie Dunn scored twice as the Bulldogs beat the Spartans.

Paris Gonzales, Delanie McGannon and Kai Denton also scored for Centennial.

Kaycee Luke scored for Cimarron.

Pahrump Valley 5, Cheyenne 1 — At Cheyenne, Sydney Sladek tallied four goals and an assist, and Gabrielle Vasquez notched a goal and an assist as the Trojans downed the Desert Shields.

Adrianna Basin scored for Cheyenne.

Adelson School 1, Western 1 — At Adelson School, Kelsie Slee’s second-half goal allowed the Lions to tie the Warriors.

Marysol Ibarra scored in the first half for Western.

Boulder City 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, the Eagles got goals from Nicole Benson, Jane Nevarez and Sydney Conn and blanked the Miners.

Ali Ravacchi earned the shutout for Boulder City.

Tech 1, Desert Pines 1 — At Desert Pines, the Roadrunners’ Monica Figerora and the Jaguars’ Alicia Cazares each scored a first-half goal as the teams played to a tie.
