ROUNDUP: Motis caps late scoring as Diamondbacks tie Sierra Vista

Cassidy Motis’ goal with five minutes remaining in the match Thursday allowed Desert Oasis’ girls soccer team to earn a 1-1 draw at Sierra Vista.
The match was scoreless for 73 minutes before Morgan Petit scored a goal to put the Mountain Lions on the board with seven minutes left.
Motis followed two minutes later with the equalizer.
Bishop Gorman 1, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Allie Arguello bent in a corner kick with seven minutes remaining to lift the Gaels past the Grizzlies.
Kaylee Vitale made one save en route to the shutout.
Bonanza 8, Western 1 — At Bonanza, Bree Hammel registered two goals and two assists as the Bengals routed the Warriors.
Brianna Higgs added two goals for Bonanza, and teammates Brittany Donaldson, Kara Kwasniowski, Haley Davidson and Madeline Sutton each tallied a goal.
Yvette Otuno converted a penalty kick for Western.
Clark 5, Durango 1 — At Durango, Kenna Turner and Nicole Plecko scored two goals apiece to help the Chargers defeat the Trailblazers.
Azucena Bernal added a goal and two assists for Clark.
Abby Oliver scored for Durango.
Centennial 1, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Centennial, Chelsea Pond netted the equalizer with three minutes remaining as the Spartans pulled to a draw with the Bulldogs.
Pond’s goal came on a play that started with a free-kick opportunity.
Dominique Romero scored a goal in the first half for Centennial.
Arbor View 0, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Shadow Ridge, the Aggies and Mustangs played to a scoreless tie.
Shadow Ridge’s Dallas Gunny made 10 saves, while Arbor View’s Kyla Salazar stopped one shot.
Palo Verde 6, Legacy 1 — At Palo Verde, Alyssa Kleiner had two goals and an assist to lead the Panthers past the Longhorns.
Sila Tuiofea also scored twice for Palo Verde. Jordan Fleming added a goal and two assists, and Kainoa Becker tallied a goal for Palo Verde.
Shatiana Banks scored for Legacy.
Cheyenne 6, Mojave 0 — At Cheyenne, Jennifer Ramirez tallied three goals and an assist as the Desert Shields blitzed the Rattlers.
Deborah Chinchilla, Priscilla Hernandez and Brihana Ortega each added a goal for Cheyenne.
Courtney Palmer made two saves to earn the shutout.
