ROUNDUP: Robinson’s early second-half strike allows Cougars to slip past Gators
Breanna Robinson’s goal two minutes into the second half Wednesday allowed Coronado’s girls soccer team to edge visiting Green Valley, 1-0.
Kathleen Cuevas assisted on the goal.
Kaitlyn Fahrner was in goal to record the shutout for the Cougars.
Rancho 3, Valley 2 — At Valley, Rae Ann Wiltshire’s goal with 15 minutes remaining lifted the Rams past the Vikings.
Lucinda Luevanos added a goal and two assists for the Rams, who also got a goal from Stephanie Apodaca.
Michelle Martinez and Amanda Lopez each tallied a goal for Valley.
Las Vegas 4, Eldorado 2 — At Eldorado, Emillee Bowen, Lily Margaretia, Hadley Wiener and Lexee Emerling each scored a goal as the Wildcats topped the Sundevils.
Teresa Barajas and Alexis Sama scored for Eldorado.
Desert Pines 3, Canyon Springs 1 — At Canyon Springs, Vanessa Gomez tallied two goals to help the Jaguars down the Pioneers.
Maydelin Pena also scored for Desert Pines.
Ericka Ealaez notched Canyon Springs’ goal.
Chaparral 0, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Chaparral, the Cowboys and Miners played to a scoreless tie.
Sunrise Mountain’s Jeana Skinner and Chaparral’s Katerin Villanueva each earned a shutout.
Silverado 6, Del Sol 1 — At Del Sol, Elyssa Gallenbeck racked up two goals and three assists to power the Skyhawks past the Dragons.
McKenzie Brown, Courtney Anderson, Erika Feltz and Darby Spooner also scored for Silverado.
Alexis Tekely tallied Del Sol’s goal.
Tech 1, Foothill 0 — At Foothill, Rachael Montoya’s marker midway through the second half allowed the Roadrunners to edge the Falcons.
Makala Lemley made four saves to earn the shutout for Tech.
Liberty 3, Basic 0 — At Basic, Paige Terlizzi notched two goals, and Alexia Gonzalez added a goal to lead the Patriots past the Wolves.
Shelby Littlefield earned the shutout for Liberty.
