ROUNDUP: Sama helps Eldorado girls move ahead of Las Vegas
Alexis Sama had a goal and an assist Thursday to lead Eldorado’s girls soccer team to a 2-0 home win over Las Vegas.
Emily Hipsak also scored for Eldorado.
Goalkeeper Chynna Hartmann earned a shutout with 11 saves.
Chaparral 5, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Chaparral, Chase Marchello had three goals and an assist as the Cowboys cruised past the Miners.
Breanna Gianopolous and Berenice Garcia also scored for Chaparral.
Amanda Puls and Jessica Fadgen combined on the shutout.
Rancho 7, Valley 1 — At Valley, Stephanie Apodaca had two goals and an assist as the Rams exploded with six second-half goals to rout the Vikings.
Cindy Hernandez, Lucinda Luevanos, Alyssa Williams, Jessica Godwin and Jacelyn Calvo also scored for Rancho, and Megan Aoyama added two assists.
Alejandra Flandez scored for Valley.
Desert Pines 3, Canyon Springs 2 — At Canyon Springs, Jenny Martinez had a goal and an assist to lead the Jaguars in a narrow win over the Pioneers.
Diana Bibriesca and Ana Vides also scored for Desert Pines.
Amber Rosenberg scored for Canyon Springs.
Silverado 3, Basic 0 — At Silverado, Rachel Cooklin scored two goals to help the Skyhawks down Basic.
Taylor Richard had a goal and an assist for Silverado, which got a five-save shutout from Samantha Lewis.
Tech 2, Del Sol 0 — At Tech, Rachael Montoya scored once in each half to lift the Roadrunners past Del Sol.
Makala Lemley made two saves to earn the shutout.
Coronado 2, Liberty 1 — At Liberty, Grace McConnell and Sarah Pate each had a first-half goal as Coronado held on to down the Patriots.
Minerva Massis scored Liberty’s goal.
Green Valley 3, Foothill 0 — At Green Valley, Cassidy McLean scored two goals to help the host Gators earn a 3-0 win over the Falcons.
Shannon Casey also had a goal for the Gators.
Nicole Westover earned the shutout for Green Valley.
