ROUNDUP: Shadow Ridge girls win, wrap up final Northwest playoff spot
Jessica Scarpati scored two goals Friday to help Shadow Ridge’s girls soccer team clinch fourth place and earn the final playoff spot in the Northwest League with a 3-1 win at Cimarron-Memorial.
Taylor Lopez added a goal and an assist for the Mustangs, who needed to win or tie the match to hold onto fourth place.
Brooke D’Onofrio converted a penalty kick for the Spartans’ lone goal.
Centennial 5, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Jordyn Rolling scored twice, and Talia Barnes earned the shutout to lead the Bulldogs over the Longhorns.
Bethanie Skelton, Sienna Drizin and Nikki Romero each scored a goal for Centennial.
Cheyenne 5, Mojave 1 — At Mojave, Jennifer Ramirez scored three goals, and Mackenzie Smith contributed a goal and three assists as the Desert Shields tamed the Rattlers.
Shardesia Rhodes also scored for Cheyenne, which got two assists from Samantha Floyd.
Nicole Santiwan registered Mojave’s goal.
Bonanza 2, Sierra Vista 0 — At Bonanza, Kalyn Goffney and Lety Ibarra each scored a second-half goal as the Bengals earned third place in the Southwest League by downing the Mountain Lions.
Keirsten Phillips was in goal for the shutout for Bonanza.
Clark 4, Western 2 — At Clark, Nicole Plecko scored once and had two assists, and Azucena Bernal had a goal and an assist to lead the Chargers over the Warriors.
Amanda Loveall and Mari Gallardo also scored for Clark.
Ana Karen Ramirez had a goal and an assist, and Anacani Gallegos added a goal for Western.
Bishop Gorman 10, Desert Oasis 0 — At Gorman, Megan Wasiak scored three times and added an assist ,and Amanda Kaufman also scored three goals to lead the Gaels in a rout over the Diamondbacks.
Courtney Beckwith, Alyssa Campagna, Tiffany Ysassi and Khachirha Tugas also scored for Gorman, and Haley Wingender, Madison Moore and Kylie Kircher each had two assists.
Kaylee Vitale and Sam Higgins shared the shutout for the Gaels.
