ROUNDUP: Williams, Warriors roll past Cowboys
Ayana Williams had four goals and two assists to lead Western’s girls soccer team to a 7-0 home victory over Chaparral on Monday.
Anacani Gallegos added a goal and two assists for the Warriors, who led 4-0 at halftime. Yvette Otuno and Maria Ramirez each scored a goal, and Karen Ramirez notched two assists for Western.
Goalkeeper Tiara Johnson earned the shutout.
Coronado 3, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Coronado, Breanna McCallum scored twice to lead the Cougars past the Spartans.
Nicole Esposito added a goal for Coronado.
Tessa Sanchez scored for Cimarron.
Palo Verde 9, Durango 1 — At Durango, Sila Tuiofea scored three goals, and Alyssa Kleiner added two goals and two assists to help the Panthers rout the Trailblazers.
Alexis Vega scored twice for Palo Verde, which got one goal each from Sammi Sawicki and Victoria DeWiitt. DeWitt also had two assists.
Austin Martinez scored Durango’s lone goal.
