Tech girls forfeit to Green Valley
Green Valley’s girls soccer team got a second chance at an unbeaten league season Thursday.
The Clark County School District’s athletic office announced that Tech forfeited Tuesday’s 3-2 win over the Gators because the Roadrunners used an ineligible player.
As a result, the Gators’ record has been adjusted to 10-0-1 in the Southeast League, good for a three-point lead over Silverado with three matches remaining.
Tech’s record was adjusted to 4-5-2, leaving the Roadrunners in a tie for fourth place with Basic. Those two teams meet today at Tech.
