1A HONORS: Thunderbirds’ Bryl does it all, earns MVP honors

The senior pitcher went 25-1 with a 1.69 ERA and 172 strikeouts in 136 1/3 innings, leading the Thunderbirds (25-1) to their second straight Class 1A state title. Bryl also batted .651 with five home runs and 67 RBIs.

Coach of the Year went to Indian Springs’ Steve Lawson.
