Outlook: The Eagles nearly qualified for the Class 3A state tournament last year, and bring back eight starters from that squad.

Bennett-Jordan (.424, 7 home runs; 1.33 ERA, 240 strikeouts), Mills (.434, 3 HR, 54 RBIs), Jordan Moorhead (.457, 14 RBIs) and Wishard (.381, 2 HR, 29 RBIs) should be among the team’s leaders.

“We’re looking forward to a great season,” Angelica Moorhead said. “We have many returners who have played many years together. Our goal is to be in Reno in May for the state tournament.”
