Outlook: The Wolves return only three starters from a team that earned the Southeast League’s final playoff spot last year and already suffered a big setback, the loss of Paige Blake — one of Southern Nevada’s top outfielders — to a knee injury. Blake isn’t expected to play this season.

"We’re very young with a lot of varsity rookies," Black said. "Inexperience will make this season a work in progress. We’re looking to improve enough to finish in the top four and secure a playoff spot."
