Roundup: Centennial hangs on to beat Cimarron-Memorial
Kiana Tate went 2-for-4 with two homers and four RBIs to help Centennial’s softball team to a 13-12 home victory over Cimarron-Memorial on Friday evening.
Deanna Barrea went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double and five RBIs for the Bulldogs, and teammate Abby Hanley went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Mya’Liah Bethea hit for the cycle for the Spartans. She went 4-for-5 with six RBIs.
Tiarra Del Rosario went 4-for-4 for Cimarron.
Liberty 8, Foothill 3 — At Liberty, Shelby Carvalho had went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double and four RBIs to help the Patriots put away the Falcons.
Jordan LaSpina went 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI for Liberty, and Jessica Meza pitched a complete game to get the win.
Leah Becker went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs for Foothill.
Green Valley 18, Eldorado 4 — At Eldorado, Olivia McClain doubled, hit a solo home run and drove in two runs to lead the Gators in a five-inning rout of the Sundevils.
Cinthia Garcia went 3-for-3 with three RBIs for Green Valley, which took advantage of 15 errors by the Sundevils.
Roshonda Stevens doubled and drove in a run, and Mariana Maldonado doubled for the Sundevils.
Chaparral 10, Del Sol 3 — At Del Sol, Fiona Togogae went 3-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs as the Cowboys defeated the Dragons.
Chaparral’s Losi Brown went 4-for-5 with a double and a RBI. Brown also pitched a complete game and struck out eight batters to earn the victory. Losa Laolagi went 3-for-4 with a triple and an RBI for the Cowboys.
Del Sol’s Selena Erickson went 2-for-3 with two triples and two RBIs.
Coronado 16, Canyon Springs 0 — At Coronado, Cierra Sawyer threw a three-inning no-hitter and went 3-for-3 with a triple and an RBI to lead the Cougars over the Pioneers.
Sawyer struck out six with two walks.
Aleah Baldonado went 2-for-2 with a double and three RBIs for Coronado, which scored 11 runs in the first inning.
Silverado 16, Valley 1 — At Silverado, the Skyhawks scored all their runs in the first inning, and coasted to a three-inning win over Valley.
Jessica Boothe and Megan Johnson doubled for Silverado, which got RBIs from eight of its nine hitters.
Ana Prado went 1-for-1 with an RBI for Valley.
Shadow Ridge 24, Arbor View 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Raelyn Kendall and Alyssa Stanley each hit a grand slam as the Mustangs rolled past the Aggies.
Kendall finished 3-for-3 with a triple and seven RBIs and Stanley was 2-for-3 with six RBIs.
Shadow Ridge’s Shelbi Denman pitched a one-hitter with seven strikeouts to earn the victory.
Merisa Osborn went 4-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs, and Caitlyn Covington was 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs for Shadow Ridge.
Shea Clements went 3-for-3 with a double, and teammate Alisha Schultz went 3-for-4 with a double for the Mustangs.
Hannah Hickstein had the only hit for Arbor View.
Rancho 8, Las Vegas 1 — At Rancho, Alyssa Ortiz tossed a complete game and allowed only one run as the Rams defeated the Wildcats.
Ortiz struck out four batters.
Rancho’s Liliana Gutierrez went 3-for-4 with a triple. Kaitlyn Suarez went 3-for-4, and Gianna Carasone was 3-for-3 with an RBI for the Rams.
Skylar Gorrell went 2-for-2, and Sarina Ramirez hit a triple for Las Vegas.
Faith Lutheran 16, Legacy 1 — At Faith Lutheran, Skye Landaz went 2-for-2 with a home run, a double and four RBIs in the Crusaders’ three-inning win over the Longhorns.
Haley Hines was 2-for-3 with three RBIs, and Clara Heislen had a triple and an RBI for Faith Lutheran.
Angel Ortiz tripled for Legacy.
Lake Mead 21-18, Calvary Chapel 7-3 — At Calvary Chapel, Josey White homered twice and drove in six runs to lead the Eagles to five-inning win over the Lions in the first game.
Emma Thomason went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs, and Beka Fuller was 1-for-2 with three RBIs for Lake Mead.
Cali McKenzie homered for Calvary Chapel.
In the second game, Presley Joyner was 2-for-2 with a triple, double and four RBIs for the Eagles.
Lola Mendoza went 2-for-2 with two RBIs for Lake Mead.
Laughlin 16-19, Mountain View 1-0 — At Mountain View, Amber Webb went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, and Carissa Wollerton went 2-for-3 with a double in the Cougars’ win over the Saints in the first game of their doubleheader.
Caitlyn Schelper went 1-for-3 with two RBIs for Laughlin and Fejay Crevier went 1-for-2 with two RBIs.
Jordan Spriggs had and RBI for Mountain View.
In the second game, Schelper, Destiny Duran and Sammi Sarinana drove in three runs apiece for Laughlin.
Virgin Valley 15, Tech 7 — At Mesquite, the Bulldogs took out the Roadrunners.
Needles 10-18, Lincoln County 0-2 — At Panaca, the Mustangs swept the Lynx.
