ROUNDUP: Chaparral sacrifices to defeat Miners

Kendy Reynoso’s sacrifice fly scored Maria Pereyra with the go-ahead run in the sixth inning Thursday, and Chaparral’s softball team added two insurance runs en route to an 18-15 win over visiting Sunrise Mountain.
Reynoso finished 3-for-4 with three RBIs and a run scored, and Jeniece Morgan went 4-for-5 with three runs and three RBIs for Chaparral.
Tyler Trujillo went 4-for-5 with four runs and two RBIs for Sunrise Mountain.
Valley 9, Rancho 4 — At Rancho, the Vikings broke open a 3-3 tie with six runs in the top of the seventh, highlighted by Nicholette Corona’s three-run triple, in a win over the Rams.
Jasmin Villamar went 3-for-4 with a run, and Lucelly Arias went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI for Valley.
Amber Marlett doubled twice, finishing 2-for-4 with three RBIs for Rancho. 
Las Vegas 7, Eldorado 2 — At Las Vegas, Kristina Nelson was 2-for-4 with a home run, a triple, three RBIs and three runs scored to lead the Wildcats past the Sundevils.
Ashly Westgarth went 3-for-3 with a triple and an RBI, and Monique Hernandez went 3-for-4 with two runs for Las Vegas.
Gabriela Trillo went 3-for-3 with two runs for Eldorado. 
Desert Pines 11, Canyon Springs 8 — At Desert Pines, Elvia Castro went 2-for-3 with a triple and a double to help the Jaguars hold off Canyon Springs.
 
Marquee Valezquez was 3-for-3 with a triple and two doubles for the Pioneers.
Palo Verde 6, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Cimarron, Melissa McCormick pitched a four-hitter with nine strikeouts and one walk and went 3-for-3 with a home run to lead the Panthers past the Spartans.
Rachel Mez and Lauren Stover had two hits each for Palo Verde.
Madison Newhard went 2-for-2 with a double for Cimarron.
Cheyenne 11, Faith Lutheran 2 — At Cheyenne, Rachel Holly went 4-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored as the Desert Shields cruised past the Crusaders.
Vanessa Sanders was 3-for-3 with a double and a home run, and teammates Nina Manley and Tawiyela Hanson each added two hits for Cheyenne.
Maya Barnes was 2-for-3 with a double and a triple for Faith Lutheran.
Durango 10, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Pahrump, Taylor Short tossed a two-hitter and was 2-for-4 with two RBIs to lead the Trailblazers in a rout of the Trojans.
Katy Moore was 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs and four runs scored for Durango.
Bonanza 15, Western 1 — At Bonanza, Alex Teed went 3-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs to help the Bengals rout the Warriors in five innings.
Michelle Miller was 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBIs for Bonanza.
Desert Oasis 12, Sierra Vista 0 — At Sierra Vista, Briona Santovito drove in three runs to lead the Diamondbacks in a rout Sierra Vista.
 
Emily Heinz and Andrea McIntosh each went 2-for-2, and Holly O’Hara was 2-for-3 for Desert Oasis.
Spring Valley 7, Bishop Gorman 2 — At Spring Valley, Georgi DeLio was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored to lead the Grizzlies past the Gaels.
Sara Stowers was 3-for-4 with two runs scored for Spring Valley.
Riverside Poly (Calif.) 12, Foothill 0 — At Huntington Beach, Calif., Corinne Reinhardt pitched a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts as Poly downed the Falcons in the Faster to First Tournament.
 
Desiree Ybarra had a triple and a home run for the Bears.
Sheldon (Calif.) 9, Centennial 2 — At Huntington Beach, Calif., Sheldon built a 6-0 lead in the fourth inning and downed the Bulldogs.
Taylor Huntly went 2-for-3 for Centennial.
Henderson International 12-12, Mesa Grande Academy (Ariz.) 1-2 — At Henderson International, Lee Harrison tossed a one-hitter with eight strikeouts in the opening game as the Wolverines swept Mesa Grande.
Harrison also went 2-for-2 with two triples and four RBIs in the opener, and teammate Pamela Sakuma had three RBIs.
In the second game, Brittany Huff went 3-for-4 with an RBI, and Alyssa Ayers (two RBIs) and Harrison both were 2-for-3 for the Wolverines.
