ROUNDUP: Galindo’s bat drives Vikings to rout of Cowboys
Zoe Galindo went 4-for-4 with a triple, two doubles, four runs and three RBIs on Thursday to help Valley’s softball team post an 18-4 win over visiting Chaparral in five innings.
Jasmine Villamar was 3-for-3 with a triple, two runs and an RBI for the Vikings, who used a nine-run second inning to take an 11-0 lead.
Rancho 9, Canyon Springs 1 — At Rancho, Brandy Marlett tossed a two-hitter with eight strikeouts and went 3-for-4 to lead the Rams past the Pioneers.
Amber Marlett was 3-for-3 with a double for Rancho, and teammate Nicole Hafen went 2-for-2.
Eldorado 16, Desert Pines 0 — At Eldorado, Ashley Jarzombek pitched a five-inning one-hitter with five strikeouts and no walks as the Sundevils blanked the Jaguars.
Erika Estrada went 3-for-4 with two doubles, and Jackie Fletcher was 2-for-3 for Eldorado.
Coronado 5, Basic 2 — At Basic, Lee Harrison had two hits and tossed a five-hitter as the Cougars defeated the Wolves.
Haley Harrison was 2-for-3 with a double, and Alyssa Ayers supplied a two-run single in the second inning to tie it 2-2 for Coronado, which added a run in the fourth and two in the seventh.
Marissa Ross went 2-for-3 with a two-run triple for Basic.
Liberty 14, Tech 0 — At Tech, Francesca Foti went 1-for-2 with a home run and three RBIs as the Patriots routed the Roadrunners in five innings.
Brittany Huff was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs for Liberty.
Jordyn Roark went 3-for-3 for Tech.
Foothill 19, Del Sol 5 — At Del Sol, Hunter Arboreen went 2-for-2 with a double, and Kiana Ishikawa was 2-for-3 with a triple as the Falcons routed the Dragons in five innings.
Raeann Brems and Aricia Dami each went 2-for-4 for Foothill, which broke a 5-5 tie with an eight-run third inning.
Shaena Martin was 2-for-3 for Del Sol.
Las Vegas 10, Bonanza 6 — At Bonanza, Jasmina Salas went 2-for-5 with two RBIs, and the Wildcats did all of their scoring in the first three innings on their way to a win.
Kristine Pasion was 2-for-5 with a RBI for Las Vegas.
Kayla Desjardin went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs for Bonanza.
Lake Mead 8-11, The Meadows 3-6 — At The Meadows, Lynzee Freund struck out 12 in the first game, and Taylor Vetter went 4-for-5 with two doubles in the nightcap to lead the Eagles to a sweep of the Mustangs.
Victoria Onufrieff was 3-for-3 for The Meadows in the opener, and teammate Nikkole Lenardson went 2-for-4 with three runs, a triple and a double in the second game.
