ROUNDUP: Penksa, Foothill stay perfect in Southeast with win over Liberty

Lauren Penksa was 2-for-3 with two RBIs on Friday to help Foothill’s softball team fend off visiting Liberty, 4-1 and maintain sole possession of first place in the Southeast League.
Danielle Belanger drove in two runs for the Falcons (12-6, 5-0 Southeast), which led 2-1 before plating a pair of insurance runs in the sixth.
Alex Petrolia went the distance, scattering six hits and striking out three, to get the win.
Basic 17, Del Sol 0 — At Basic, Brooke Logan went 2-for-2 with a pair of home runs and four RBIs as the Wolves routed the Dragons in five innings.
Marissa Ross was 3-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs, and Leah Causey finished 2-for-2 with two doubles for Basic.
Lacey Romo tossed a one-hitter, walking one and striking out nine, for the Wolves.
Green Valley 7, Tech 0 — At Tech, Alicia Firelein spun a one-hit shutout with seven strikeouts and belted a three-run home run in the top of the first inning to send the Gators past the Roadrunners.
Ali Bodnar went 2-for-4 with a home run, and Desiree Laswell was 3-for-4 for the Gators.
Tech pitcher Amanda Roark struck out 11.
Silverado 10, Coronado 3 — At Coronado, Emily Galante went 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBIs to lift the Skyhawks past the Cougars.
Taylee Heckman went 2-for-3 with a double for Silverado, which took advantage of six Coronado errors.
Jessie Moriarty and Devyn Choltko each went 2-for-3 for the Cougars.
Arbor View 7, Faith Lutheran 0 — At Arbor View, Amanda Jones tossed a two-hit shutout, walking one and striking out 12, to lead the Aggies past the Crusaders.
Nichole Diaz went 3-for-4 with a home run, a triple and two RBIs for Arbor View.
Shadow Ridge 28, Mojave 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Sabriya Brooks had a grand slam and drove in six runs to help the Mustangs to a rout of the Rattlers.
Mary Jordan went 5-for-6 with a double and five RBIs, and Krislyn Campos was 4-for-6 with three RBIs for Shadow Ridge, which belted 29 hits.
Centennial 8, Cheyenne 5 — At Centennial, Taylor Huntly went 3-for-4 with a double as the Bulldogs sneaked past the Desert Shields.
Kassidy Merritt went 2-for-3 for Centennial, which took over with a five-run second inning. Kylie Bartlett and Mikayla Djordjevic each finished 2-for-4 for the Bulldogs.
Bonanza 10, Desert Oasis 6 — At Desert Oasis, Emily Osborn was 4-for-5 with a double, a triple and three RBIs to lead the Bengals to a victory over the Diamondbacks.
Tori Lind went 3-for-4 to help Bonanza, which used a four-run fifth inning to take control.
Emily Heinz hit 3-for-5 with two doubles to lead Desert Oasis.
Bishop Gorman 14, Sierra Vista 4 — At Gorman, O’Sheyon Rollins was 3-for-3 with four runs and an RBI to help the Gaels to the five-inning win over the Mountain Lions.
Alexandria Gordon was 3-for-4 with a triple, two runs and three RBIs, and Miranda Robles hit 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBIs and two stolen bases for Gorman.
Pahrump Valley 20, Western 1 — At Pahrump, Rebecca Gamble went 3-for-5 with two doubles, and the Trojans broke a scoreless tie with a 14-run third inning on their way to the win.
Rachel Hartwick was 2-for-3, and Miranda Monje went 2-for-4 for Pahrump.
Durango 5, Clark 0 — At Durango, Katie Moore had an RBI single in the first and a solo home run in the third to help the Trailblazers blank the Chargers.
Moore finished 3-for-3, and Taylor Short went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run.
Nicole Herrera pitched a three-hitter with two strikeouts to earn the win.
Boulder City 10-10, Moapa Valley 0-0. — At Boulder City, Paxton Fleming went 4-for-4 with a double and two RBIs in the first game, and Karlee Koopman struck out 13 batters while tossing a two-hitter in the second game to help the Eagles sweep the Pirates in a pair of five-inning shutouts.
 
Lake Mead 17-15, Round Mountain 0-0 — At Lake Mead, Lynzee Freund spun a three-hitter and struck out 11 in the opener, and Sam Herman tossed a two-hitter in the nightcap as the Eagles posted a pair of shutouts against Round Mountain.
Amanda Wellman went 3-for-3 with a home run and six RBIs for Lake Mead in the nightcap.
Pahranagat Valley 17-18, Sandy Valley 0-3 — At Alamo, Addie Canning struck out 13 in the opener and seven in the nightcap as Pahranagat Valley swept the Sidewinders.
Canning also homered in both games of the doubleheader. She added a pair of doubles in the first game.
Roxie Lasike blasted a home run in the opener for the Panthers, and Jamie Brede and Kyla Mortensen added homers in the second game.
