ROUNDUP: Pico, Wilhelm help Longhorns to win over Bengals

Sierra Pico went 2-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored Tuesday to help Legacy’s softball team to a 10-7 win over visiting Bonanza.

Jessie Wilhelm also went 2-for-4 with two RBIs for the Longhorns.

Nicolette Lind paced Bonanza, going 2-for-4 with a double and two runs.

Centennial 7, Durango 1 — At Centennial, Taylor Huntly tossed a five-hitter and added a double to lead the Bulldogs past the Trailblazers.

Heather Bowen and Savannah Horvath each went 2-for-3 with a double, and Mikayla Djordjevic added three hits for Centennial.

Shadow Ridge 10, Desert Oasis 6 — At Desert Oasis, Sabriya Brooks belted a three-run homer in the top of the fifth to key a six-run inning that allowed the Mustangs to come from behind and beat the Diamondbacks.

Emily Heinz led Desert Oasis with two hits, and teammates Lenzi Cram and C.J. Wilson each added a triple.

Basic 15, Eldorado 7 — At Eldorado, Jessica Pittman went 4-for-6 with a triple, two runs scored and an RBI as the Wolves pounded out 22 hits and rallied from a 7-4 deficit to down the Sundevils.

Marissa Ross was 3-for-5 with a double, three runs and four RBIs for Basic. Amanda Green was 3-for-5 with three RBIs, and Tiana Tapuala went 3-for-4 with three RBIs for the Wolves.

Green Valley 5, Rancho 2 — At Rancho, Chelsea Anderson was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs as the Gators downed the Rams.

Maggie Manwarren had a two-run single in the fourth for Green Valley.

Brandi Marlett had a two-run single in the fifth inning to account for the Rams’ scoring.

Coronado 17, Chaparral 1 — At Chaparral, Kendell Sauter went 3-for-3 with a double and tossed a five-inning five-hitter to lead the Cougars to an easy win.

Alyssa Ayers was 3-for-4 with a double for Coronado.

Sunrise Mountain 14, Western 3 — At Sunrise Mountain, Samantha Venerable went 3-for-4 with a two-run triple, and the Miners scored seven runs in the bottom of the second to pull away from the Warriors.

Dara Slivka added three hits for Sunrise Mountain.

Silverado 10, Las Vegas 0 — At Las Vegas High, Taylee Heckman threw a six-inning, two-hit shutout for the Skyhawks, who scored all 10 runs in the final two innings.

Ashlee Phillips and Riana Splinter each went 2-for-4 with a double for Silverado, which took advantage of seven Wildcat errors.

Boulder City 7, Tech 6 — At Boulder City, Karlee Koopman pitched four innings with four strikeouts and went 2-for-4 with an RBI to lead the Eagles past the Roadrunners.

Ariel O’Neill added a fourth-inning solo home run for Boulder City, which scored six runs in the first inning.

Amanda Roark went the distance for Tech, which scored three runs in both the fifth and sixth innings.

Foothill 15, Desert Pines 0 — At Desert Pines, Jordyn Derflinger pitched a five-inning one-hitter with six strikeouts and went 3-for-4 with a double to lead the Falcons past the Jaguars.

Liberty 15, Valley 0 — At Valley, Francesca Foti gave up only one hit and went 2-for-4 with four RBIs and scored three runs to carry Liberty to a five-inning win.

Del Sol 11, Moapa Valley 1 — At Del Sol, Desiree Orozco went 1-for-2 with two runs and two stolen bases as the Dragons routed the Pirates in five innings.

Samantha Mora slugged a home run for Moapa Valley.

Pahranagat Valley 16, Lake Mead 1 — At Alamo, Kyla Mortensen tossed a five-inning no-hitter and hit a home run as the Panthers routed the Eagles.

Mortensen struck out eight and walked five.

Tami Spencer went 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs for Pahranagat Valley.

Indian Springs 16, The Meadows 3 — At The Meadows, Alexxa Reinke went 3-for-3, and the Thunderbirds scored 11 runs in the first inning and cruised to victory.
