ROUNDUP: Pinkston cycles, pitches Mustangs past Spring Valley

Sarah Pinkston hit for the cycle, including an inside-the-park grand slam, on Wednesday to help Shadow Ridge’s softball team defeat visiting Spring Valley 12-2 in six innings.

Pinkston, who finished 4-for-4 with four RBIs, also tossed a five-hitter, allowing one earned run and striking out 10.

Marisa Miano went 3-for-3 with a double, and Justin Garganese added a three-run home run for the Mustangs.

Kayla Sutherland was 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Jojo Brewer was 2-for-4 for Shadow Ridge.

Palo Verde 15, Sierra Vista 0 — At Sierra Vista, Rachel Williams fired a no-hitter as the Panthers routed the Mountain Lions in five innings.

Williams struck out eight and walked one.

Breanna Beatty was 3-for-4 with a double, a triple and four RBIs to lead the Palo Verde offense. Melissa Lacro went 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBIs and two runs for the Panthers.

Rancho 6, Green Valley 5 — At Rancho, Aly Lamboo doubled home Jacey Kelley with the winning run to cap a four-run comeback in the bottom of the seventh inning as the Rams edged the Gators.

Kelley singled home Tiare Lee for the tying run in the seventh after Lee supplied an RBI triple for Rancho, which got two hits from Tori Hafen.

Fenixx Henderson went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI to lead Green Valley.

Faith Lutheran 8, Pahrump Valley 7 — At Faith Lutheran, Bri Yee singled home Allyson Bowline with the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning to help the Crusaders edge the Trojans.

Mandi Young provided a two-out, two-run single to cap a six-run fifth inning for Faith Lutheran, which got two hits, a run and an RBI each from Vanessa Valdez and Rachel Kerr.

Mallory Cole and Bryanna Soliwoda each contributed three hits and two RBIs to lead Pahrump.

Las Vegas 4, Silverado 2 — At Las Vegas, Sam Remer doubled and drove in two runs, and Kristina Nelson tossed a five-hitter with 13 strikeouts as the Wildcats downed the Skyhawks.

Nelson and teammate Brooke Booth each contributed RBI singles for Las Vegas.

Tech 7, Moapa Valley 6 — At Overton, the Roadrunners used four hits and a walk in the top of the seventh to score four runs to beat the Pirates.

Joyann Smith singled home the go-ahead run for Tech.

Jamison Bascom doubled for the Roadrunners.

Bailey Owens had a double for Moapa Valley, which scored five runs in the fifth to take a 6-3 lead.

Western 9, Mojave 6 — At Mojave, winning pitcher Brenda Sandoval went 2-for-3 with a triple, and Lolita Rodriguez was 3-for-5 with a double as the Warriors rallied past the Rattlers.

Sabrina Paulk supplied a single and a double for the Warriors, who trailed 5-3 after five innings.

Danette Daguiar was 3-for-3 with a double and a triple, and Ashley Persico went 3-for-4 with a double and a triple for Mojave, which also got a double and a single from Terren Vinson.

Arbor View 15, Durango 3 — At Arbor View, every Aggie starter had a hit, and eight had two as they routed the Trailblazers in five innings.

Kayla Stephens was 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBIs and a run, and Kellie Anderson went 2-for-2 for Arbor View.

Valley 15, Canyon Springs 1— At Canyon Springs, Alexis Anderson smacked a three-run homer, and the Vikings took advantage of 12 walks and nine errors to rout the Pioneers in five innings.

Ali Givens went 2-for-3 with a double for Canyon Springs.

Cheyenne 21, Clark 7 — At Cheyenne, Vanessa Sanders went 3-for-3 with two doubles, a home run, three RBIs and four runs to lead the Desert Shields over the Chargers in five innings.

Taylor Cole was 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBIs, and Tyler Asing was 2-for-3 with three RBIs for Cheyenne.

Del Sol 13, Desert Pines 8 —
At Del Sol, Ashley Ross went 2-for-3 with a double to lead the Dragons over the Jaguars.

Crystal Melendez was 2-for-5 for Desert Pines, which scored eight runs in the second to take an 8-5 lead
