ROUNDUP: Roderick’s 13 strikeouts lift Trojans past Chargers

Whitney Roderick fired a two-hitter with 13 strikeouts Monday to help Pahrump Valley’s softball team to a 4-2 win over visiting Clark.

Amanda Pryor went 2-for-3 for the Trojans.

Julia Hagen supplied both hits for the Chargers.

Arbor View 10, Cimarron-Memorial 5 — At Cimarron, winning pitcher Chelsa Baca was 4-for-4 with a triple to lead the Aggies past the Spartans.

Letty Valenzuela went 3-for-4 with a three-run homer and four RBIs, and Kristina Billante was 3-for-4 with a double and a two-run homer for Arbor View, which got two doubles from Karli Lehr.

Cimarron’s Sarah Murphy went 3-for-4 with a triple, and Kayla Johnson was 2-for-3 for the Spartans, who got a two-run home run from Sabrina Chavez.

Spring Valley 14, Bonanza 4 — At Bonanza, winning pitcher Ashley Coate went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles and four RBIs to help the Grizzlies top the Bengals.

Georgi DeLio was 2-for-4 with two doubles, and Sara Stowers went 2-for-4 for Spring Valley.

Shadow Ridge 14, Cheyenne 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Krislyn Campos hit for the cycle, going 4-for-4 with four RBIs as the Mustangs blitzed the Desert Shields in five innings.

Tana Feiner went 2-for-2 with two triples and combined Kellie Gaura on a two-hitter.

Legacy 19, Mojave 0 — At Legacy, Kiani Elia-Mendiola went 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs, and Gabby Rinker was 3-for-3 with three RBIs to lead the Longhorns by the Rattlers in five innings.

Sierra Pico was 2-for-4 with three runs and five RBIs for the Longhorns.

Alysia Santos tossed a two-hitter and struck out four for Legacy.

Centennial 21, Faith Lutheran 0 — At Centennial, Taylor Huntly came within two outs of tossing a five-inning no-hitter, surrendering only a one-out double in the fifth to Frankie Lee, as the Bulldogs routed the Crusaders.

Huntly went 4-for-4, and Ashley Ross was 3-for-4 with two doubles for Centennial.

Lauren Stroman went 3-for-3 with a home run, a double and four RBIs for the Bulldogs.

Sierra Vista 11, Western 1 — At Sierra Vista, Sydney Land went 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBIs in the first inning as the Mountain Lions rolled past the Warriors in five innings.

Felisha Richardson tossed a two-hitter for Sierra Vista, which scored 10 runs in the first inning.

Tech 14, Virgin Valley 1 — At Mesquite, Amanda Roark threw a three-hitter with seven strikeouts as the Roadrunners topped the Bulldogs in five innings.

Jordyn Roark went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, and Amanda Roark was 3-for-4 with an RBI for Tech.

Halle Wakefield doubled for Virgin Valley.
