ROUNDUP: Sheehan carries Spartans to easy win over Desert Shields

Winning pitcher Carrie Sheehan was 3-for-4 with four RBIs on Wednesday to help Cimarron-Memorial’s softball team to a 12-2 home win over Cheyenne.

Sheehan allowed one earned run on three hits and struck out 12.

Kayla Johnson was 3-for-4 with an RBI, and teammate Carli Stafford went 2-for-3 with three RBIs for Cimarron.

Cheyenne’s Melanie Manley was 2-for-3.

Centennial 13, Arbor View 2 — At Centennial, Heather Bowen went 3-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs, and the Bulldogs scored eight first-inning runs on their way to a five-inning win.

Bailie Nelson was 3-for-3, and Mia Acuna went 3-for-4 with two RBIs for Centennial.

Karli Lehr doubled and drove in two runs for Arbor View.

Palo Verde 19, Mojave 0 — At Palo Verde, Melissa Lacro spun a five-inning one-hitter with 11 strikeouts and one walk as the Panthers routed the Rattlers.

Salina Gonzalez tripled, doubled twice and drove in three runs, and Melissa McCormick went 3-for-3 with a home run and five RBIs for Palo Verde, which got a triple, a single and an RBI from Selina Merritt.

Spring Valley 10, Pahrump Valley 5 — At Pahrump, Georgi DeLio was 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBIs to lead the Grizzlies past the Trojans.

Sindy Cummings went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBIs, and Nicole Matyskiel smacked a home run for Spring Valley.

Sara Williams had a homer, a double and two RBIs for Pahrump.

Bonanza 18, Sierra Vista 3 — At Sierra Vista, Emily Osborn was 2-for-3 with two triples and two RBIs to lead the Bengals to a five-inning rout of the Mountain Lions.

Nicolette Lind went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI for Bonanza.

Felicia Richardson was 2-for-3 with a home run for Sierra Vista.

Desert Oasis 21, Bishop Gorman 6 — At Desert Oasis, Taylor Beacham went 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs, and the Diamondbacks erupted for 15 first-inning runs on their way to a five-inning win.

Briona Santovito was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and three runs scored for Desert Oasis. 

Machenzie Tucky finished 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run, and Miranda Robles went 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBIs and two runs for the Gaels.

Clark 23, Western 2 — At Western, Shawna Potratz and Shannon Chapman had five hits apiece as the Chargers routed the Warriors.

Boulder City 10, Canyon Springs 3 — At Canyon Springs, Karlee Koopman tossed a seven-hitter with four strikeouts and added two hits to help the Eagles down the Pioneers.

Kacey Ochoa smacked a bases-loaded triple for Boulder City.

Jasmine Almendarez went 2-for-2 for Canyon Springs.

Shadow Ridge 15, Moapa Valley 3 — At Overton, Sabriya Brooks was 3-for-3 with three runs, and Danette Daguiar went 3-for-5 with three runs to help the Mustangs rout the Pirates.

Jasmine Bouie, Kellie Gaura and Jojo Brewer combined on a one-hitter for Shadow Ridge.

Eldorado 13, Virgin Valley 8 — At Mesquite, Cheyanne Schindler hit a two-run home run to help the Sundevils top the Bulldogs.

Alora Bonner had a solo home run for Virgin Valley.

Lincoln County 13, Pahranagat Valley 0 — At Panaca, K.C. Jensen tossed a five-inning one-hitter with 11 strikeouts as the Lynx blanked the Panthers.

Melanie Florence homered for the Lynx.
