ROUNDUP: Valenzuela powers Arbor View past Vikings

Letty Valenzuela was 3-for-3 with a home run, a double, two runs and five RBIs Friday to lead Arbor View’s softball team to an 11-0, five-inning win over Valley in the Sherm Bennett Memorial Classic in Mesquite.

Karli Lehr was 3-for-3 with a triple, two doubles, three runs and two RBIs, and Dacia Sykes added a home run and two RBIs for Arbor View.

Chelsa Baca tossed a three-hitter for the Aggies.

Cheyenne 25, Virgin Valley 2 — At Mesquite, Vanessa Sanders cranked a three-run homer, and the Desert Shields did all of their scoring on just three hits to top the Bulldogs in a 1 1/2-inning game in the Sherm Bennett Memorial Classic.

Jahane Davis added a two-run double for Cheyenne, which scored 17 runs in the top of the first inning.

Coronado 3, Kofa (Ariz.) 1 —
At Bullhead City, Ariz., Kiley Harrison went 2-for-4 and drove in the game-winning run on a fielder’s choice in the seventh inning to lift the Cougars over the Kings at the Tournament of Champions.

Danielle Amato and Megan Zingo combined on a three-hitter for Coronado.

Mater Dei (Calif.) 2, Centennial 0 —
 At Bullhead City, Ariz., Andie Formby tossed a five-inning three-hitter and struck out 12 as the Monarchs blanked the Bulldogs in the Tournament of Champions.

Mater Dei scored twice on an error in the top of the first.

Lauren Stroman’s two-out double in the fifth gave the Bulldogs two runners in scoring position with two outs, but Formby got the final out.

Torrance (Calif.) 5, Centennial 0 —
At Bullhead City, Ariz., Christina Washington tossed a five-inning three-hitter and belted a two-run home run in the first inning to lead the Tartars by the Bulldogs in the Tournament of Champions.

Heather Bowen was 1-for-1 with a double for Centennial.

El Modena (Calif.) 12, Foothill 0 —
At Bullhead City, Ariz., El Modena routed the Falcons in three innings in the Tournament of Champions.

Flagstaff (Ariz.) 1, Foothill 0 —
At Bullhead City, Ariz., Leanne Hernandez singled home Jessica Mesa in the third inning to give Flagstaff a five-inning win over the Falcons in the Tournament of Champions.

Legacy 5, White Pine 1 —
At Needles, Calif., Kiani Elia went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs, and the Longhorns beat the Bobcats in three innings at the Colorado River Invitational.

Alysia Santos finished 2-for-2 for Legacy, which scored all five runs in the first inning.

Bailey Moore hit a solo homer in the second for White Pine.

Faith Lutheran 10, Palo Verde Valley (Calif.) 4 — At Needles, Calif., Stacie Graham’s bases-loaded triple sparked a five-run fourth inning as the Crusaders topped the Yellowjackets in four innings in the Colorado River Invitational.

Rachel Kerr and Graham combined on a five-hitter for Faith Lutheran.

Sunrise Mountain 7, Mountain View 5 — At Needles, Calif., the Miners broke a 5-5 tie with two runs in the bottom of the second inning and held on to beat the Saints in four innings in the Colorado River Invitational.

Winning pitcher Andrea Garner was 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI, and Natalie Sharp went 2-for-2 for Sunrise Mountain.

Cristin Swartz was 1-for-2 with a triple for Mountain View.

Chino Valley (Ariz.) 12, Mountain View 3 — 
At Needles, Calif., Chino Valley used a five-run second inning and a seven-run third to top the Saints in three innings in the Colorado River Invitational.

Swartz and Elle Germany each went 2-for-2 for Mountain View.

Palo Verde Valley (Calif.) 7, Rancho 4 — At Needles, Calif., Sarrah Bolding’s three-run home run highlighted a seven-run fourth inning as the Yellowjackets topped the Rams in four innings at the Colorado River Invitational.

Aly Lamboo hit a double for Rancho.

Rancho 3, White Pine 2 —
At Needles, Calif., Jacey Kelley scored the winning run on a throwing error in the bottom of the fourth inning to lift the Rams by the Bobcats in four innings in the Colorado River Invitational.

Brandy Marlett tossed a three-hitter for Rancho, which trailed 2-0 after one inning.

Tech 8, Del Sol 5 — 
At Needles, Calif., Emmalyne Laymon was 1-for-2 with two RBIs to help the Roadrunners top the Dragons in four innings in the Colorado River Invitational.

Austyn Dziewit was 1-for-3 with two RBIs for Tech, which scored six runs in the top of the first inning and took advantage of 10 walks and three hit batters.

Sierra Morales had two of Del Sol’s four hits.

Desert Oasis 8, American Fork (Utah) 0 —
At St. George, Utah, C.J. Wilson tossed a five-inning two-hitter to lead the Diamondbacks by the Cavemen in the March Warm-Up Tournament.

Shonda Bayados belted a three-run home run, and Karly Severance added a two-run double for Desert Oasis.

Viewmont (Utah) 14, Desert Oasis 4 — At St. George, Utah, Viewmont topped the Diamondbacks in the March Warm-Up Tournament.

Badayos had a two-run homer in the first inning for Desert Oasis.

Sky View (Utah) 15, Clark 3 — At St. George, Utah, the Bobcats scored seven times in the second and routed the Chargers in four innings at the March Warm-Up Tournament.

Layton (Utah) 10, Clark 6 — At St. George, Utah, Shelby Frank hit a grand slam in the first inning, but the Chargers were unable to hang on and lost to the Lancers in four innings at the March Warm-Up Tournament.

Frank finished 2-for-2. Kaitlyn Szeles added a double for Clark.

Durango 22, Skyline (Utah) 3 — At St. George, Utah, Tori Ray went 3-for-4 with five RBIs, and the Trailblazers used a 14-run second inning to rout Skyline in four innings in the March Warm-Up Tournament.

Dallas Boyce was 3-for-3 with a double for Durango.

Durango 8, Orem (Utah) 0 — At St. George, Utah, Brittany O’Hearn went 2-for-2 with two RBIs as the Trailblazers topped Orem in four innings in the March Warm-Up Tournament.

Boyce tossed a one-hitter with four strikeouts.
