SOFTBALL: Bulldogs blank Wildcats for Livreri’s 300th career win
Angel Love went 2-for-3 with a home run and a double to lead Centennial’s softball team to a 13-0, five-inning win over visiting Las Vegas on Friday.
It was the 300th career victory for Centennial coach Mike Livreri.
Gabby Kennedy went 3-for-3 to help the Bulldogs, who took over with six runs in the first inning. Heather Bowen was 3-for-3 with a double for Centennial.
Faith Lutheran 12, Desert Pines 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Mosie Foley fired a no-hitter with 10 strikeouts and no walks as the Crusaders beat the Jaguars in five innings.
Foley took a perfect game into the fifth, but the leadoff batter reached on an error.
Allyson Bowline and Kelsey Marks each went 3-for-4 to lead Faith Lutheran’s 17-hit attack.
Alex Wright added two doubles for the Crusaders, who scored 10 runs in the bottom of the first.
Durango 4, Legacy 2 — At Durango, Dallas Boyce struck out 10 as the Trailblazers downed the Longhorns.
Boyce threw a complete game, allowing only one earned run on eight hits and one walk.
Boyce also helped her own cause with a double, and Cheyenne Haas added a double for the Trailblazers.
Anastasia Fuller went 2-for-4 to lead the Longhorns.
Coronado 4, Valley 0 — At Coronado, Jaiden Johnson went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple and an RBI to lead the Cougars past the Vikings.
Basia Query was 2-for-2 with a triple to help Coronado, and teammate Nicole Hardy went 2-for-3.
Jillian James and Katie Dawson combined on a three-hitter.
Kristina Manthei went 2-for-2 to lead Valley.
Bishop Gorman 12, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Bishop Gorman, Dayton Yingling went 3-for-3 with a home run, two doubles and four RBIs to help the Gaels cruise past the Trojans in five innings.
Shelby Estocado went 2-for-3 with a homer, and Bailey Zavala went 2-for-3 with two triples for Gorman.
Yingling and Samantha Stanfill combined on a four-hitter.
Chaparral 16, Canyon Springs 14 — At Chaparral, Vanessa Donham went 2-for-4 with a grand slam, five RBIs and two stolen bases as the Cowboys powered past the Pioneers.
Brianna Clark went 2-for-2 with two walks and three stolen bases, and Yadira Ontiveros was 3-for-3 for Chaparral.
Tea Rivera had a triple for Canyon Springs.
Green Valley 12, Tech 7 — At Green Valley, Autumn Owens went 3-for-4 with four RBIs as the Gators topped the Roadrunners.
Winning pitcher Maggie Manwarren was 4-for-4, and teammate Jinger Meuir was 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Tech’s Kimmie Rodriguez went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple and three RBIs.
Pahranagat Valley 9, White Pine JV 5 — At Pahranagat Valley, Brook Higbee went 3-for-3 with a triple and an RBI as the Panthers downed the Bobcats junior varsity.
Kennedy Huntsman picked up the win. She also doubled and drove in two runs.
