SOFTBALL: Davis helps Spartans down Silverado

Cierra Davis was 2-for-2 with a double and a run to help Cimarron-Memorial’s softball team to a 6-3 win over visiting Silverado on Friday.

Tiarra Del Rosario went 2-for-3 with a run, and Tiare Ho was 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Spartans.

Alessandra Ponce went 3-for-4 with a double for the Skyhawks.

Centennial 13, Millikan (Calif.) 12 — At Torrance, Calif., Angel Love went 2-for-3 with a grand slam and six RBIs to lead the Bulldogs past the Rams in five innings in the Torrance National Tournament.

Stephanie Day went 2-for-3 with a double, triple and two RBIs for the Bulldogs. Hannah Jones had two doubles for Centennial.

Cheeks Ramos doubled twice and homered for Millikan.

Coronado 6, South Torrance (Calif.) 0 — At Torrance, California, Tatum Spangler tossed a three-hitter with seven strikeouts and led off the bottom of the first inning with a home run to guide the Cougars by the Spartans in the Torrance National Tournament.

Erica Hardy was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, and Ashley Ward was 2-for-3 with two runs for Coronado. Basia Query added a double and two RBIs for the Cougars.

Tech 9, Del Sol 1 — At Tech, Melissa Fuller hit a three-run home run to lead the Roadrunners past the Dragons.

Ashlee Carratelli tossed a two-hitter and struck out six for Tech.

Legacy 13, Bonanza 2 — At Bonanza, Amanda Sink threw a two-hitter with 13 strikeouts and went 2-for-2 with two runs and three RBIs as the Longhorns routed the Bengals in five innings.

Haley Pedersen was 3-for-4 with a run, and Eliza Rodriguez went 3-for-3 with a run and an RBI for Legacy, which scored 10 runs in the first inning.

Brianna Hernandez-Silva went 1-for-1 and scored both of Bonanza’s runs.

Rancho 15, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, Katerina Anthony threw a one-hitter and struck out nine as the Rams routed the Pioneers in five innings.

Alisa Blevins was 2-for-2 with a triple, and Sammi Llamas went 2-for-3 for Rancho.

Mojave 16, Pahranagat Valley 9 — At Mojave, Jessica Ortiz had two doubles and two RBIs, and the Rattlers used a 15-run sixth inning to erase a 7-1 deficit and defeat the Panthers.

Anacecillia Ramirez had two RBIs, and Anastasia Evans hit two doubles for Mojave.

Virgin Valley 15, Chaparral 7 — At Chaparral, Janella Fiso went 2-for-5 with two RBIs, and the Bulldogs scored 11 runs in the final three innings to top the Cowboys.

Alexis Montoya went 2-for-4 with three RBIs for Chaparral, which committed 11 errors.

Moapa Valley 25, Desert Pines 0 — At Overton, Kessa Evans went 3-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs as the Pirates blitzed the Jaguars in five innings.

Mercedes Gale was 2-for-2 with a double for Moapa Valley, which took advantage of 19 walks.

Daesha Stastny, Evans and Gale combined on a one-hitter.

Basic 15, Window Rock (Ariz.) 5 — At Kingman, Ariz., Hannah Barr and Happy Butler each homered to lead the Wolves past the Fighting Scouts in six innings in the Coca-Cola Invitational.

Sanoe Hellenini doubled and tripled for the Wolves.

Basic 18, Mohave Accelerated (Ariz.) 0 — At Kingman, Ariz., Izabelle Morales threw a three-inning one-hitter as the Wolves routed the Patriots in the Coca-Cola Invitational.

Hellenini had a triple for Basic, which scored 11 runs in the third inning.

Boulder City 4, Pine View (Utah) 2 — At St. George, Utah, Charlene Masterson spun a six-inning two-hitter and struck out eight as the Eagles defeated the Panthers in the March Warm-Up tournament.

Jerra Hinson had three hits and two RBIs for Boulder City.

Boulder City 13, Duchesne (Utah) 2 — At St. George, Utah, Kylee Hamel went 4-for-4 with four RBIs as Boulder City routed Duchesne in the March Warm-Up tournament.

Bailey Bennett-Jordan tossed a five-hitter with seven strikeouts and had three hits and three RBIs for Boulder City.

Boulder City 17, Skyline (Utah) 0 — At St. George, Utah, Jordan Moorhead and Masterson combined on a three-inning no-hitter as Boulder City routed Skyline in the March Warm-Up tournament.

Micayla Gegen had three hits and four RBIs, and Marleena Mills added three hits and three RBIs for Boulder City. Masterson had three hits and two RBIs.

Boulder City 12, North Sevier (Utah) 1 — At St. George, Utah, Masterson tossed a five-hitter and fanned 14 as the Eagles defeated the Wolves in sixi innings in the March Warm-Up.

Bennett-Jordan had two hits and five RBIs for Boulder City.

Lincoln County 16-20, Lake Mead 0-3 — At Tuscany Park, the Lynx swept a pair of five-inning games from the Eagles.

Round Mountain 21-39, Sandy Valley 11-12 — At Indian Springs, the Knights swept a pair of five-inning games from the Sidewinders.
