SOFTBALL: Lamboo’s three-hitter powers Rancho past Diamondbacks

Aly Lamboo tossed a three-hitter and struck out eight Friday to lead Rancho’s softball team to an 8-0 win at Desert Oasis.

Brandy Marlett’s three-run triple keyed a four-run third-inning for the Rams. McKinzi Vega was 2-for-4 with a double for Rancho.

Mercedes Rios was 3-for-3 with a double for the Diamondbacks.

Boulder City 2, Chaparral 0 — At Boulder City, Charlene Masterson fired a shutout as the Eagles topped the Cowboys.

Masterson allowed seven hits, struck out 11 and walked one.

Kasey Ochoa’s RBI double in the bottom of the sixth broke a scoreless tie, and Boulder City added a run on an error.

Cimarron-Memorial 8, Silverado 3 — At Cimarron, Carli Stafford was 2-for-3 with a triple, a double and two RBIs as the Spartans downed the Skyhawks.

Sarina Cresswell was 2-for-4 with two doubles, and Rebecca Johnson went 2-for-3 for Cimarron.

Ashlee Phillips had a solo home run for Silverado.

Arbor View 8, Las Vegas 2 — At Las Vegas, Dacia Sykes went 4-for-4, and the Aggies used a five-run first inning to down the Wildcats.

Centennial 10, Durango 0 — At Centennial, Kate Rauskin tossed a five-inning one-hitter and struck out four to lead the Bulldogs by the Trailblazers.

Mia Acuna went 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs, and Allison Riggs was 2-for-2 with a double and three RBIs for Centennial.

Savannah Horvath and Taylor Huntly each went 2-for-3 with a double, and Lauren Stroman was 2-for-3 for the Bulldogs.

Cheyenne 16, Moapa Valley 6 — At Cheyenne, Jahnae Davis went 5-for-5 with two doubles, three runs and five RBIs to lead the Desert Shields past the Pirates in five innings.

Taylor Cole was 3-for-4 with a double, and Vanessa Sanders went 2-for-4 with two doubles for Cheyenne, which also got two hits apiece from Tyler Asing and winning pitcher Alyssa Fata.

Linna Hernandez, Summer Owens and Makendie Frei each went 2-for-3 for Moapa Valley.

Tech 24, Virgin Valley 6 — At Tech, Jordyn Roark was 3-for-4 with a grand slam and eight RBIs as the Roadrunners routed the Bulldogs in five innings.

Kimmie Rodriguez was 3-for-3 with a home run, a double and two RBIs, and Austyn Dziewit was 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs for Tech. Ashley Ramsey was 2-for-3 for Tech.

Riley Heath was 3-for-3 for Virgin Valley.

Liberty 11, Sierra Vista 0 — At Liberty, Shrya Serkawa threw a two-hitter as the Patriots beat the Mountain Lions in five innings.

Jenn Story was 2-for-3 with three RBIs, and Tiana Tapuala went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs for Liberty.

Faith Lutheran 15, Canyon Springs 5 — At Canyon Springs, Kelly Zufall was 3-for-3 with two RBIs, and Claire Peck added a triple, a double and three RBIs as the Crusaders topped the Pioneers in five innings.

Ciera Berkemeyer went 2-for-3 with two triples and two RBIs for Canyon Springs.

Lincoln County 15-12, Lake Mead 0-4 — At Panaca, Kourtney Gloeckner went 2-for-3 with a triple in the opener and 4-for-4 in the nightcap as the Lynx swept the Eagles.

Jessica Shoup was 3-for-3, and winning pitcher Elle Scott had three RBIs for the Lynx in the first game. Josie Burgess added a home run, and Chesnee Harding was 2-for-3 with a triple for Lincoln County.

In the nightcap, Bailey Free went 2-for-2 with two RBIs for the Lynx.

Needles 17-20, Mountain View 1-0 — At Mountain View, Abby Chandler went 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, four RBIs and three runs in the opener and tossed a two-hitter in the nightcap as the Mustangs swept a pair of five-inning games from the Saints.

Dakota Lillard spun a one-hitter in the first game for Needles.
