BOYS SWIMMING: Archer, D’Alessio lead Mountain Lions over Grizzlies

Mason Archer and Bailey D’Alessio each won two events Saturday to lead Sierra Vista’s boys swimming team to a 168-69 win over Spring Valley at Pavilion.

Archer won in the 100-yard backstroke in 57.13 seconds, and took first in the 100 freestyle in 52.84. D’Alessio won the 50 freestyle in 23.47 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:11.58.

Spring Valley’s Jay Yang took first in the 100 butterfly (53.07) and 500 freestyle (4:44.76).

Silverado 155, Canyon Springs 45 — At Pavilion, Ray Cadena and Lawson Borla each won two individual events as the Skyhawks downed the Pioneers.

Cadena took the 200 freestyle (2:15.08) and 200 individual medley (2:50.44). Borla was first in the 500 freestyle (6:02.89) and 100 breaststroke (1:17.46).

Palo Verde 205, Bishop Gorman 86 — At Pavilion, David Miller, Dylan Sweikert and Logan Houck each won two events to lead the Panthers over the Gaels.

Miller was first in the 200 individual medley (2:07.28) and 100 butterfly (56.81), Sweikert took the 50 freestyle (22.32) and 100 freestyle (50.37) and Houck won the 200 freestyle (1:49.59) and 500 freestyle (4:46.63).

Arbor View 205, Desert Oasis 31 — At Pavilion, Nathan Bugash and Aydin Sachs each won two events as the Aggies downed the Diamondbacks.

Bugash took the 200 freestyle in 2:05.72 and the 100 butterfly in 1:07.03. Sachs won the 50 freestyle in 25.27 and the 100 backstroke in 1:07.96.

Bonanza 99, Cimarron-Memorial 89 — At Municipal, Valentin Dierick won the 50 freestyle in 24.45 and the 100 butterfly in 1:07 to help the Bengals down the Spartans.

Cimarron’s Noah Bachir won the 200 freestyle in 2:06.49 and the 500 freestyle in 5:15.84, and Andre Sigui took the 100 freestyle in 1:02.27 and the 100 backstroke 1:08.34.

Faith Lutheran 152, Boulder City 127 — At Municipal, Dylan Gagnon won two events, and the Crusaders used their depth to top the Eagles.

Gagnon took the 50 freestyle in 24.31 and won the diving with a score of 102.9.

Boulder City’s Lars Palmer won the 100 butterfly (1:04.31) and 100 backstroke (1:06.05). Teammate Sam Sauerbrei won the 200 individual medley (2:05.05) and 100 breaststroke (1:06.39), and Jason Lyon took the 200 freestyle (2:02.53) and 500 freestyle (5:20.25).

Coronado 185, Liberty 61 — At Municipal, Jake Chir and Tyler Miao each took two events as the Cougars topped the Patriots.

Chir swam the 100 freestyle in 47.38 and claimed the 100 breaststroke in 59.3. Miao claimed the 200 freestyle in 1:55.22 and the 500 freestyle in 5:15.84.

Eldorado 102, Rancho 99 — At Heritage Park, Max Thomas won the 200 freestyle (2:09.32) and 500 freestyle (5:54.58) as the Sundevils edged the Rams.

Rancho’s Jesus Perez was first in the 50 freestyle (25.55) and 100 freestyle (59.21).

Las Vegas 169, Valley 48 — At Heritage Park, the Wildcats won nine of 11 races, including all three relays, to down the Vikings.

Valley’s Matthew Moore was first in the 50 freestyle (24.0) and 500 freestyle (5:41.36).

Tech 185, Chaparral 28 — At Heritage Park, Michael Pecjak was first in the 100 butterfly (1:14.0) and 200 freestyle (2:12.0) as the Roadrunners routed the Cowboys.
