SWIMMING: Lloyd, Hubel lead Boulder City girls past Del Sol
Montana Lloyd and Alex Hubel each won two individual events Tuesday to lead Boulder City’s girls swimming team to a 208-52 win over Del Sol at Heritage Park.
Lloyd won the 200-yard freestyle in 1 minute, 57.06 seconds, and the 100 butterfly in 59.68. Hubel took the 200 individual medley (2:12.00) and 500 freestyle (5:08.74).
Lloyd and Hubel each swam on two winning relay teams for the Eagles.
Rancho 171, Canyon Springs 67 — At Heritage Park, Tonicia Thomas, Olivia Johnson and Astrid Villegas won two events apiece to send the Rams by the Pioneers.
Thomas won the 100 butterfly (1:02.75) and 500 freestyle (5:29.94), Johnson took the 100 breastroke (1:11.87) and 200 individual medley (2:16.46), and Villegas placed first in the 50 freestyle (27.18) and 100 freestyle (59.06).
Las Vegas 148, Eldorado 122 — At Heritage Park, Christina Wong and April Martinez each won two events as the Wildcats edged the Sundevils.
Wong won the 100 breaststroke in 1:22.69 and 500 freestyle in 6:54.43. Martinez took the 100 backstroke in 1:03.26 and the 50 freestyle in 27.01.
Eldorado’s May Crawford won the 200 individual medley in 2:29.27 and was second in the 100 backstroke.
Green Valley 206, Foothill 78 — At Heritage Park, Elizabeth Clinch won two events to help the Gators down the Falcons.
Clinch took the 100 butterfly in 59.69 and 100 breastroke in 1:10.67.
Foothill’s Lauren Hulshoff was first in the 100 backstroke (1:07.90) and second in the 50 freestyle.
BOYS
Boulder City 185, Del Sol 69 — At Heritage Park, Nick Lara, Braden Klouse and Clayton Pendleton each won two events to power the Eagles by the Dragons.
Lara won the 200 individual medley (2:04.84) and 100 butterfly (56.78), Klouse was first in the 100 freestyle (53.71) and 200 freestyle (1:56.34), and Pendelton won the 50 freestyle (26.44) and 100 breastroke (1:21.29).
Del Sol’s Stuart Hall placed second in the 200 individual medley and 100 freestyle.
Rancho 110, Canyon Springs 84 — At Heritage Park, Kirk Jaravillo and Roberto Silva each won two events as the Rams defeated the Pioneers.
Jaravillo took the 100 butterfly (1:06.87) and 100 backstroke (1:05.34), and Silva won the 100 breastroke (1:21.09) and 200 individual medley (2:45.84).
Canyon Springs’ Jacob Rendon placed first in the 100 freestyle (51.43) and 200 freestyle (1:53.29).
Las Vegas 173, Eldorado 92 — At Heritage Park, Sam Blackburn and Austin Samia each won two events as the Wildcats blew by the Sundevils.
Blackburn won the 200 freestyle (2:01.5) and 50 freestyle (24.06), and Samia took the 200 individual medley (2:24.28) and 100 breaststroke (1:13.84).
Eldorado’s Troy Sirat won the 100 butterfly (1:02.81), and teammate Max Thomas won the 500 freestyle (5:46.42).
Green Valley 153, Foothill 132 — At Heritage Park, Connor Smith and Michael Velazquez won two events apiece to help the Gators slip by the Falcons.
Smith placed first in the 100 backstroke (1:00.32) and 200 individual medley (2:07.94), and Velazquez won the 100 breaststroke (59.63) and 500 freestyle (4:56.59).
Foothill’s Denver Renner won the 50 freestyle (25.1) and was third in the 100 freestyle.
