ROUNDUP: Dotson drives Valley girls past Clark
Julie Dotson won a pair of individual events at Heritage on Saturday to lead Valley’s girls swimming team to a 143-133 win over Clark.
Dotson took the 100 butterfly in 1 minute, 8.81 seconds and the 200 individual medley in 2:36.57.
Clark’s Gabrielle Jaehn won the 50 freestyle in 29.97 and the 100 backstroke in 1:13.34.
Green Valley 236, Durango 69 — At Heritage, Smaranda Georgescu and Sarah McKay each took two individual events as the Gators rolled past the Trailblazers.
Georgescu won the 100 butterfly in 1:03.11 and the 200 freestyle in 2:02.9, and McKay claimed the 100 breaststroke in 1:15.49 and the 200 individual medley in 2:23.24.
Las Vegas 163, Chaparral 72 — At Heritage, Rebecca Hill captured the 100 breaststroke in 1:20.76 and the 200 individual medley in 2:40.41.
Chaparral’s Summer Luchsinger won the 100 butterfly in 1:10.9 and the 500 freestyle in 6:25.4.
Coronado 184, Bishop Gorman 103 — At Multi-Generational, Samantha Harrison and Nicole Mertel won two events apiece to lead the Cougars past the Gaels.
Harrison took the 200 (1:57.41) and 500 freestyles (5:07.11), and Mertel claimed the 50 freestyle in 25.34 and the 100 backstroke in 1:01.55.
Gorman’s Catie Miller won the 100 breaststroke in 1:09.93 and the 200 individual medley in 2:14.24.
Boulder City 195, Arbor View 90 — At Multi-Generational, Cori Molisee and Megan Purdy each won a pair of events as the Eagles topped the Aggies.
Molisee won the 200 individual medley (2:19.01) and 100 freestyle (55.62), and Purdy was first in the 100 butterfly (1:00.55) and 100 breaststroke (1:11.22).
Rancho 188, Liberty 51 — At Multi-Generational, the Rams won every event to beat the Patriots.
Rancho’s Stephanie Apodaca won tthe 100 butterfly (1:27.74) and 100 freestyle (1:10.9), and teammate Shania Hewett was first in the 200 individual medley (2:46.87) and 100 breaststroke (1:20.05).
Legacy 137, Sierra Vista 104 — At Pavilion, the Longhorns topped the Mountain Lions.
Sierra Vista’s Anamey Nava won the 100 freestyle (1:00.9) and 500 freestyle (5:38.9).
Cimarron-Memorial 201, Desert Oasis 104 — At Pavilion, Tzu Lin and Amanda Guerrero each won a pair of events to lead the Spartans over the Diamondbacks.
Lin won the 100 butterfly (1:09.13) and 50 freestlye (25.96), and Guerrero won the 100 backstroke (1:04.16) and 100 breaststroke (1:10.85).
Western 92, The Meadows 49 — At Pavilion, the Warriors beat the Mustangs.
The Meadows’ Jessie Barra won the 200 freestyle (1:57.41) and 200 individual medley (2:13.63), and teammate Eliana Crawford took the 500 freestyle (5:28.72) and 100 backstroke (1:06.54).
Tech 191, Desert Pines 60 — At Pavilion, Gabrielle Spendlove won the 200 freestyle in 2:40.48 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:34.11 to lead the Roadrunners past the Jaguars.
Desert Pines’ Xiomara Barahona took the 100 butterfly in 1:28.75 and the 200 individual medley in 3:12.47.
Desert Pines 89, Cheyenne 74 — At Pavilion, the Jaguars won only two events but used their depth to down the Desert Shields.
Cheyenne’s Taylor DiNicola won the 100 backstroke in 1:21.15 and the 200 freestyle in 2:46.81, and teammate Daniela Munaso won the 50 freestyle in 36.49 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:42.44.
