BOYS TENNIS: Doubles teams lead Grizzlies over Mountain Lions
The doubles teams of Eric Clark and Alex Tasaka, and Christopher Zimmerman and Jeremy Doyharzabal each went 3-0 Monday to lead Spring Valley’s boys tennis team to an 11-5 win over visiting Sierra Vista.
Mark Strauska was 3-0 in singles, and Kayvaan Adrangi went 2-0 in singles for the Mountain Lions.
Foothill 14, Silverado 4 — At Silverado, Theodore Dradicki was 3-0 in singles to lead the Falcons over the Skyhawks.
Jacob Van Laeken and Lawson Borla were 2-1 in doubles for Silverado.
Coronado 14, Bonanza 3 — At Coronado, the doubles teams of Aaron Egbert and Kian Habashi, and Kyle Harris and Joshua Egbert each went 3-0 as the Cougars rolled past the Bengals.
Eldorado 10, Cimarron-Memorial 3 — At Cimarron, Mario Aguayo went 2-0 in singles as the Sundevils downed the Spartans in a match shortened by rain.
Jacob Sedillo and Dakota Shults went 2-0 in doubles for Eldorado.
Palo Verde 18, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Palo Verde, Rhett Bossung went 2-0 in singles as the Panthers blanked the Mustangs.
Conor Safbom and Brandon Sulzberg were 2-0 in doubles for Palo Verde.
Valley 10, Liberty 8 — At Liberty, the Vikings nipped the Patriots.
Liberty’s Dylan Ihmels was 3-0 in singles.
Faith Lutheran 14, Adelson School 3 — At Adelson School, Jack Stevens and Joe Ritorto each went 3-0 in singles as the Crusaders topped the Lions.
Marc Beccue and Trey Sommers were 2-0 in doubles for Faith Lutheran.
Chaparral 16, Desert Pines 2 — At Desert Pines, the Cowboys rolled past the Jaguars.
Boulder City 12, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Boulder City, the Eagles won by forfeit.
Clark 12, Western 0 — At Clark, the Chargers won by forfeit.
Mojave vs. Cheyenne — At Cheyenne, the Rattlers and Desert Shields both forfeited their match as neither team had the requisite six players.
Weather issues
Durango’s match at Arbor View was postponed because of rain. A make-up date has not been announced.
Moapa Valley led visiting Tech, 7-2, when lightning forced the suspension of their match. A completion date has not been announced.
