BOYS TENNIS: Patriots edge Sundevils on tiebreaker

Matthew Drongesen and Sarem Khilji went 3-0 in doubles Tuesday, and Liberty’s boys tennis team won four of six tiebreaker games to post a 10-9 win at Eldorado.

Trevor Swain was 3-0 in singles for the Sundevils.

Green Valley 11, Valley 7 — At Green Valley, Mackay Boman was 3-0 in singles to help the Gators to a victory over the Vikings.

Alex Gustilo and Marty Heavey were 3-0 in doubles for Valley.

Green Valley was a 10-8 winner in the completion of a match that was suspended by rain on Sept. 11.

Arbor View 10, Durango 8 — At Durango, Derek Rouse and Travis Norland went 3-0 in doubles to help the Aggies edge the Trailblazers.

Marc Viernes went 2-1 in singles to lead Durango.

The teams attempted to finish their suspended match from Sept. 9, but had to stop play because of darkness with the Aggies leading 8-6.

Spring Valley 11, Sierra Vista 7 — At Sierra Vista, Jeremy Doyharzabal and Dominic Morimando went 3-0 in doubles to help lead the Grizzlies to a win over the Mountain Lions.

Mark Strauska was 3-0 in singles for Sierra Vista.

Coronado 16, Basic 2 — At Coronado, the doubles teams of Aaron Egbert and Michael Boyd, and Kian Habashi and Kyle Harris each went 3-0 as the Cougars routed the Wolves.

Foothill 12, Del Sol 6 — At Del Sol, the doubles teams of Tristin Hansel and Teodor Drabicki, and Bligh Madris and Tyler Van Stone each went 3-0 to lead the Falcons past the Dragons.

Matt Styck went 2-1 in singles to lead Del Sol.

Las Vegas 16, Silverado 2 — At Las Vegas, the doubles teams of Shayne Marquez and Evan Kindard, and Kyle Monton and Trey Chauncey each went 3-0 to lead the Wildcats past the Skyhawks.

Faith Lutheran 10, Adelson School 3 — At Darling Tennis Center, Jack Stevens was 3-0 in singles to lead the Crusaders by the Lions in a match that was stopped in the third round.

Palo Verde 17, Shadow Ridge 1 — At Shadow Ridge, the Panthers downed the Mustangs.

Rancho 12, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, the Rams won by forfeit.
