ROUNDUP: Bonanza tops Clark in boys tennis

Sean Lettero went 3-0 in singles Tuesday to help visiting Bonanza defeat Clark 13-5 in a boys tennis match.

Nate Tanner and Jared Baneres went 2-0 in doubles for Bonanza, which improved to 5-0 overall and 3-0 in the Southwest League.

Jason Gee and Daniel Won went 3-0 in doubles for Clark.

Sierra Vista 17, Western 1 — At Western, the Mountain Lions swept the singles sets in their win over the Warriors.

Zach Wardle, Nick Tso and Austin Petit each went 3-0 in singles for the Sierra Vista.

Chris Ma and Percivil Miranda went 2-0 in doubles for Sierra Vista.

Brian Marshall and Jacob Hansen were 1-1 in doubles for the Warriors.

Bishop Gorman 15, Spring Valley 3 — At the Darling Tennis Center, the doubles teams of Alec Thomas and Kyle Del Rosario, and Diego Gutierrez and Ryan Hidajat each went 3-0 as the Gaels downed the Grizzlies.

Cody Miller was 2-0 in singles for Gorman, and Alex Silvestri went 2-1.

Joe Miceli was 2-1 in singles for Spring Valley.

Durango 17, Desert Oasis 1— At Durango, Jeff Leavitt and Matt Leavitt each went 3-0 in singles as the Trailblazers beat the Diamondbacks.

Palo Verde 16, Cheyenne 2 — At Palo Verde, the Panthers breezed to a 16-2 win over the Desert Shields.

Legacy 10, Faith Lutheran 8 — At Faith Lutheran, the Longhorns defeated the host Crusaders, 10-8.

Centennial 13, Shadow Ridge 5 — At Shadow Ridge, Centennial’s top two doubles teams each went 3-0 as the Bulldogs beat the Mustangs.

The teams of Tyler Gietzen and Kyle Johnson, and Tyler Rogers and Josh Arias each went 3-0.

Jeff Elmer was 3-0 in singles for Shadow Ridge.

Arbor View 12, The Meadows 6 — At The Meadows, Tyler Marchant and John Lester went 3-0 in doubles as Arbor View defeated the Mustangs.

Cimarron-Memorial 18, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, the Spartans earned a sweep against the Rattlers.

Canyon Springs 10, Desert Pines 8 — At Desert Pines, the doubles teams of Josh Jones and Chris Dangerin, and Ishmael Gibson and Kip Brooks each went 3-0 to lead the Pioneers over the Jaguars.

Marcus James finished 3-0 for Desert Pines in singles.

Rancho 10, Las Vegas 9 — At Rancho, Tyler Vincent won all three singles matches, but the Wildcats fell to the Rams.
Rancho won five of the six sets in the tiebreaker.

Valley 11, Moapa Valley 7 — At Valley, Jason Lockard and Mitchell Diesko each went 3-0 in singles play, helping the Vikings beat the Pirates.

Eldorado 14, Chaparral 4 — At Eldorado, the Sundevils’ doubles teams of Kaiden Shakespeare and James Sernas, Dalton Carpenello and Jacob Martinez, and Alan Guerrero and Elliot Aleman all went 3-0 as Eldorado beat the Cowboys.

Jung Park went 3-0 in singles for Eldorado.

D.J. Grassie went 2-1 in singles for Chaparral.

Liberty 13, Del Sol 5 — At Liberty, Chrys Castro went 3-0 in singles, and Rap Sopat went 2-0 as the Patriots beat the Dragons.
Tommy Haynes and Marco Martin went 3-0 in doubles for Liberty.

Green Valley 13, Basic 5 — At Green Valley, defending state champion Evan Song went 3-0 in singles as the Gators beat the Wolves.

Green Valley’s Caleb Camp and Alex Zbiegien went 3-0 in doubles, as did teammates Trevor Sukovi and Connor Opdyke.

Basic’s Mike Feher finished 2-1 in singles.

Coronado 14, Silverado 4 — At Silverado, the Cougars rolled past the Skyhawks.

Boulder City 13, Tech 5 — At Tech, the Eagles defeated the host Roadrunners, 13-5.

Foothill 10, Green Valley 8 — At Green Valley, the Falcons defeated the Gators in the completion of a suspended match from Sept. 8.
