ROUNDUP: Chaparral slips past Desert Pines in boys tennis

Chaparral took just enough points in a tiebreaker Thursday to win at Desert Pines in a boys tennis match.
The teams tied at nine sets each and at three games apiece in the tiebreaker, which Chaparral won on points, 37-36.
D.J. Grassie and Michael Golightly each went 3-0 in singles for Chaparral.
Roberto Caton and Bryan Cabriales went 3-0 in doubles for Desert Pines.
Rancho 12, Moapa Valley 6 — At Rancho, Luis Delgadillo and Mark Chen went 3-0 in singles to lead the Rams over the Pirates.
Valley 11, Las Vegas 7 — At Las Vegas, Jason Lockard and Mitchell Diesko finished 3-0 in doubles to lead the Vikings over the Wildcats.
Brady Page and Brayden Pikyavit went 3-0 in doubles for Las Vegas.
Eldorado 12, Canyon Springs 6 — At Canyon Springs, the Sundevils dominated doubles play and did just enough in singles.
Eldorado’s doubles teams of Kaiden Shakespear and James Sernas, Dalton Carpenello and Jacob Martinez, and Alan Guerrera and Nelson Herrera all went 3-0.
Coronado 15, Basic 3 — At Coronado, Adam Gratz and Michael Seitz went 3-0 in doubles to lead the Cougars to a rout of Basic.
Mitchell Smith was 3-0 in singles for Coronado. Xavier Smith went 2-0 in singles for the Cougars.
Del Sol 13, Boulder City 5 — At Boulder City, Anthony Gugino went 3-0 in singles as Del Sol downed the Eagles.
Foothill 15, Liberty 3 — At Foothill, Chris Clementi went 3-0 in singles to lead the Falcons over the Patriots.
Cody Souza and Drew Mortensen went 3-0 in doubles for Foothill.
Silverado 14, Tech 4 — At Silverado, Justin Estell and Todd Vincent went 3-0 in doubles, and Brandon Lombardo went 2-0 in singles to lead the Skyhawks over the Roadrunners.
Bonanza 16, Sierra Vista 2 — At Bonanza, Craig Whiting was 3-0 in singles to help the Bengals beat Sierra Vista.
The doubles teams of Aashish Daulat and John Grady, and Laurent Gontier and Sean Lettero each went 2-0 in doubles.
Durango 16, Western 2 — At Durango, Jeff Leavitt, Matt Leavitt and Marvin Pagayonan each went 2-0 in singles to lead the Trailblazers over the Warriors.
Clark 14, Spring Valley 4 — At Spring Valley, Clark’s doubles teams of Dennis Park and Roger Yee, and Jason Gee and Daniel Won finished 2-0 as the Chargers defeated the Grizzlies.
Joe Miceli went 2-0 in singles for Spring Valley.
Bishop Gorman 18, Desert Oasis 0 — At Desert Oasis, Bishop Gorman completed a sweep of the Diamondbacks.
Centennial 15, Cimarron-Memorial 3 — At Centennial, Travis Beck went 3-0 in singles and Austin Howell 2-1 to lead the Bulldogs over the Spartans.
The doubles teams of Kyle Johnson and Tyler Geitzen, Josh Arias and Tyler Rogers, and Patrick Bolton and Brandon Fish each went 2-0 for Centennial.
Cameron Tatz went 2-1 in singles for Cimarron.
Arbor View 17, Cheyenne 1 — At Arbor View, the Aggies were dominant in their victory over the Desert Shields.
Palo Verde 15, Shadow Ridge 3 — At Palo Verde, Brandon Parker, Stan Breland and Fernando Sunago each went 2-0 in singles to lead the Panthers over the Mustangs.
Kamua Jackson and David Nichols teamed to go 2-0 for Palo Verde.
The Meadows-Faith Lutheran match suspended — At Faith Lutheran, the match between The Meadows and Faith Lutheran was suspended with the score tied at 9-9 as the teams didn’t have court availability for the tiebreaker.
