ROUNDUP: Weldon, Long help Basic boys outlast Bulldogs

Ryan Weldon and Tyler Long teamed up to go 3-0 in doubles play Friday as Basic’s boys tennis team edged visiting Virgin Valley, 10-8.
Kyle Silva was 2-1 in singles for the Wolves.
Kody Cloes went 3-0 in singles for the Bulldogs.
Coronado 10, Bishop Gorman 8 — At Gorman, the doubles teams of Kai Carl and Xavier Smith, and Jon Berberich and Christian Pate each went 3-0 to help the Cougars hold off the Gaels.
Mitchell Smith was 2-1 in singles for Coronado, which rallied from a 4-2 deficit after the first round.
Kyle Del Rosario was 3-0 and Cody Miller finished 2-1 in singles for Gorman.
Spring Valley 12, Del Sol 6 — At Spring Valley, Ozzie Tavaras, David Saribekyan and Ishmael Gibson each went 3-0 in singles as the Grizzlies topped the Dragons.
Anthony Gugino and Tommy Gugino, and Kameron Conley and Daniel Cano-Reyes each were 3-0 in doubles play for the Dragons.
Liberty 11, Durango 7 — At Liberty, Gil Lim and Rap Sopat each went 3-0 in singles to lead the Patriots past the Trailblazers.
Foothill 12, Chaparral 6 — At Chaparral, John Qualls and Dylan Hansel were 3-0 apiece in singles to lead Foothill past the Cowboys.
Eric Hansen and Martelle Barlow went 3-0 in doubles for the Cowboys.
Valley 12, Boulder City 6 — At Boulder City, Mitchell Diesko went 3-0 in singles to help the Vikings past the Eagles.
The teams of Eric Herring and David Delaney, and Brandon Rinker and Loronzo Capannolo were 3-0 in doubles for the Vikings.
Moapa Valley 11, Desert Oasis 7 — At Desert Oasis, Kade Bryant and Camden Stratton each went 2-1 in singles as the Pirates edged the Diamondbacks.
Garrison Lopez-Quizon was 3-0 in singles for the Diamondbacks.
Bonanza 13, Eldorado 5 — At Bonanza, Craig Whiting and Bryan Clow, and Chris Pace and Jacob Mabby each went 3-0 in doubles play to lead the Bengals past Eldorado.
Jared Hyer was 3-0 in singles for Bonanza.
T.J. Swain went 2-1 in singles for the Sundevils.
Clark 13, Las Vegas 5 — At Las Vegas, the teams of Edwin Onatta and Willem Arjana, and Beric Pang and Calob Chen each went 3-0 in doubles as the Chargers cruised past the Wildcats.
Joseph Maalouf was 3-0 in singles for Clark.
Tech 9, Sunrise Mountain 8 — At Sunrise Mountain, Carlos Delgadillo and Zach Witt both went 3-0 in singles as the Roadrunners nipped the Miners.
Silverado 18, Canyon Springs 0 — At Silverado, the Skyhawks blanked the Pioneers.
Sierra Vista 12, Desert Pines 0 — At Desert Pines, Sierra Vista won by forfeit after Desert Pines fielded only three players.
 
Green Valley 12, Rancho 0 — At Green Valley, the Gators were winners by forfeit.
