TENNIS: Doubles teams help Las Vegas boys edge Liberty
The doubles teams of Trey Chauncey and Kyle Monton, and Jonathan Sosa and Trevor Christiansen each went 3-0 on Monday as Las Vegas’ boys tennis team nipped visiting Liberty, 10-9.
Benjamin Bowen was 2-1 in singles for the Wildcats, who won four of the six tiebreaker games after the teams split their 18 regulation sets.
Kevin Bloomquist was 3-0 singles for the Patriots.
Rancho 10, Durango 9 — At Durango, the Rams won four of the six tiebreaker games to pull out a victory over the Trailblazers.
Marc Viernes went 3-0 in singles, and the doubles team of Filip Bosnajak and Jovan Lubera was 3-0 for Durango.
Desert Pines 11, Boulder City 7 — At Boulder City, Adan Cano and Kim Halasan were 3-0 in doubles to lead the Jaguars by the Eagles.
Oscar Murillo was 2-1 in singles, and Alfredo Murillo and Edgar Diaz went 2-1 in doubles for Desert Pines.
Andre Pappas went 3-0 in singles to lead Boulder City. Garrett Leavitt and Tanner Montgomery were 2-1 in doubles for the Eagles.
Centennial 12, Bonanza 6 — At Centennial, Raul Saucedo went 2-0 in singles to lead the Bulldogs past the Bengals.
Thomas Felt and Kade Frischknecht went 2-0 in doubles for Centennial

Noah Loeffler and Adrianne Lopez went 2-1 in doubles for Cimarron.

Natalia Fullmer, Harley Fullmer and Natalie Bowman each went 2-1 in singles for Boulder City.

Valley’s doubles teams of Katie Streit and Alexandra Angelov, Claire Angel and Annelisa Laizure, and Deanine Dilworth and Sara Tegtmeyer each went 3-0.
