GIRLS TENNIS: Palo Verde dominates doubles, tops Faith Lutheran
Palo Verde’s girls tennis team swept the doubles sets on Thursday en route to an 11-7 victory over Faith Lutheran at Darling Tennis Center.
The teams of Abby Lewis and Kaya Richardson, and Isabella Shelton and Brooklynn Harris, each went 3-0 to lead the Panthers.
Madison Foley and Kennedy Barr each went 3-0 in singles for the Crusaders.
Valley 10, Eldorado 8 — At Eldorado, Annelisa Laizure was 3-0 in singles to lift the Vikings over the Sundevils.
Alexandra Jianu finished 2-1 in singles for Valley.
Heather Holman and Navtej Raju went 3-0 in doubles to lead Eldorado.
Bonanza 11, Desert Oasis 7 — At Desert Oasis, Maris Nelson and Madi Cherry each went 2-0 in singles to lead the Bengals past the Diamondbacks.
The doubles teams of Jaci Valandingham and Hailee Valandingham, and Danielle Tacker and Holly Dillingham, each went 3-0 for Desert Oasis.
Moapa Valley 12, Boulder City 6 — At Overton, Linsey Leavitt and Kinzi Robinson went 3-0 in doubles as the Pirates defeated the Eagles.
Morgan Aikele and Lillian Leavitt also went 3-0 in doubles for Moapa Valley.
Natalie Bowman was 3-0 in singles to lead Boulder City.
Clark 13, Spring Valley 5 — At Clark, Michelle Zhu went 2-0 in singles to lead the Chargers past the Grizzlies.
The doubles team of Shalini Jayaweera and Tiffany Zhang was 2-0 for the Clark.
Bishop Gorman 13, Durango 5 — At Durango, Karissa Matthews and Sadie Klassen went 3-0 in doubles to power the Gaels by the Trailblazers.
Emma Figueredo and Sofia Victoria Nuno also finished 3-0 in doubles for Gorman.
Averiana Mitchell was 3-0 in singles to pace Durango.
Rancho 15, Canyon Springs 3 — At Canyon Springs, Maiyah Norton went 3-0 in singles as the Rams topped the Pioneers.
Adelson School 12, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, the Lions defeated the Desert Shields by forfeit.
Chaparral 12, Del Sol 0 — At Chaparral, the Cowboys defeated the Dragons by forfeit.
Tech vs. Virgin Valley — At Mesquite, the match was postponed because of weather. It has been rescheduled for Tuesday.
