ROUNDUP: Desert Oasis girls keep playoff hopes alive

Lauren Lightfoot, Jaynie Connor and Danica Ingwaldson each went 3-0 in singles Wednesday as Desert Oasis’ girls tennis team kept its Sunset Region playoff hopes alive with an 11-7 win at Sierra Vista.
The Diamondbacks are tied with Spring Valley for fourth place in the Southwest League. Both teams are 4-3 and will meet at Desert Oasis on Thursday.
Courtney Sunstrum and Walapa Piyaraj went 3-0 in doubles for Sierra Vista.
Durango 11, Spring Valley 7— At Spring Valley, the Trailblazers’ doubles teams of Katie Moore and Jamie Dean, Claire Melo and Andrea Melo, and Alyce Kurley and Josie Dean all went 3-0 in Durango’s win over the Grizzlies.
Tiffany Tavares finished 3-0 in singles for Spring Valley.
Bonanza 15, Virgin Valley 3 — At Bonanza, Erika Smith went 3-0 in singles as the Bengals routed Virgin Valley.
Alison Matlovic was 2-0 in singles for Bonanza, and Isabella Minoli and Emily Ruskowitz went 2-0 in doubles.
Moapa Valley 13, Chaparral 5 — At Chaparral, Moapa Valley swept the doubles sets en route to a win over the Cowboys.
The Pirates’ doubles teams of Natalie Rust and Marianna Crippa, and Chelsi Edwards and Sydney Widdison each went 3-0.
Chaparral’s Kelley Terry was 3-0 in singles.
Valley 11, Eldorado 7— At Valley, Patrice Mayo, Nicole Russo and Jenna beaudry all went 3-0 in singles to help the Vikings beat the Sundevils.
 
Alyssa Gabrillo and Maria Guanlao went 3-0 in doubles for Eldorado.
Rancho 11, Desert Pines 7— At Desert Pines, Mariah Coleman and Abony Moore each went 3-0 in singles to lead the Rams past the Jaguars.
Odette Galvez and Maria Diaz went 3-0 in doubles for Desert Pines.
Coronado 10, Silverado 8 — At Coronado, the Cougars swept the nine doubles sets and held off the visiting Skyhawks.
Coronado’s doubles teams of Liz Gibbons and Casey Thevenot, Lea Cohen and Jonelle Espinoza, and Paige Nisson and Brooke White all went 3-0.
Kristen Santero and Nicole Santero each went 3-0 in singles for Silverado.
Liberty 11, Del Sol 7— At Del Sol, Aphrah Brokaw went 3-0 in singles and Janilie Dysico went 2-1 to help the Patriots beat the Dragons.
Del Sol’s Katie Fischer went 2-1 in singles, and the Dragons’ doubles team of Britaney McComas and Halley Turner went 2-1.
Green Valley 13, Basic 5 — At Basic, Ashley Zwick and Gabby Friday teamed up to go 3-0 in doubles play to lead the Gators past the Wolves.
Cimarron-Memorial 14, Mojave 4 — At Cimarron, Starlyn Thomas went 2-0 in singles, and the doubles team of Cintia Mejia and Carrie Sheehan went 2-0 as the Spartans downed Mojave.
The Rattlers’ Kristen Bachman and Nicole Santiwan were 2-1 in doubles.
Boulder City 10, Tech 9 — At Boulder City, the host Eagles won a tie-breaker to nip Tech.
Bishop Gorman 12, Western 0 — At Western, the visiting Gaels won by forfeit.
Las Vegas 17, Sunrise Mountain 1 — At Las Vegas, the host Wildcats rolled past the Miners.
