ROUNDUP: Gator girls put finishing touches on Southeast playoff picture
Alyssa Boman and Sydney Bogatz each went 3-0 in singles play on Wednesday to lead Green Valley to a 12-6 home victory over Basic, clinching the Southeast League’s final playoff berth.
The Gators finished 5-3 in league, while the Wolves finished 4-4.
Lida Kilchenko and Dana Schwartz teamed up to go 2-1 in doubles play for Green Valley.
Valley 10, Eldorado 8 — At Eldorado, Nicole Russo and Brooke Harding each went 3-0 in singles to help the Vikings clinch the Northeast League’s No. 3 seed with a win over the Sundevils.
Emari Bryant and Vernice Ollano went 3-0 in doubles for the Vikings.
Wendy Magana and Melanie Pabst were 2-1 in doubles for Eldorado.
Coronado 14, Silverado 4 — At Silverado, Lea Cohen and Paige Nisson went 2-0 in doubles to help the Cougars take down the Skyhawks.
Liberty 12. Del Sol 6 — At Liberty, Danae Ingwaldson was 3-0 in singles as the Patriots defeated the Dragons.
Tech 10, Boulder City 8 — At Tech, Alexis Sanchez finished 3-0 in singles to help the Roadrunners edge the Eagles.
Las Vegas 13, Sunrise Mountain 5 — At Sunrise Mountain, Val Shively and Selena Torres each went 3-0 in singles as the Wildcats rolled past the Miners.
Carolina Ayala and Maritza Del Rio finished 2-0 in doubles for Las Vegas.
Moapa Valley 12, Chaparral 6 — At Overton, Natalie Rust and Jennessa Gates each went 3-0 in singles, and Sydney Widdison finished 2-0 in singles to help the Pirates top the Cowboys.
Clark 14, Foothill 4 — At Foothill, Sharon Fang went 3-0 in singles, and Natasha James and Maddy Pasimio finished 3-0 in doubles as the Chargers routed the Falcons.
Samantha Throgmorton went 2-0 in singles for Foothill.
Rancho 12, Desert Pines 0 — At Rancho, the Rams won by forfeit.
