TENNIS: Legacy girls edge Shadow Ridge

Emma Shepherd was 3-0 in singles Thursday to lead Legacy’s girls tennis team to a 10-8 victory over visiting Shadow Ridge.

Ally Stolworthy was 2-1 in singles for the Longhorns.

The doubles teams of Loren Jensen and Ananya Chauhan, and Libi Frasor and Mia Samuels each went 2-1 for Legacy.

Foothill 15, Silverado, 3 — At Foothill, Emily Campbell went 3-0 in singles as the Falcons defeated the Skyhawks.

Foothill’s Aine Jones was 2-0 in singles.

Marlaina George and Kaitlyn Church finished 3-0 in doubles for the Falcons. Emma Grant and Kristel Peralta were 2-0 in doubles for Foothill.

Lyric Ciarlo was 2-1 in singles for Silverado.

Palo Verde 14, Cimarron-Memorial 4 — At Cimarron, Nicole Mendenhall went 2-0 in singles to lead the Panthers over the Spartans.

Hayden Bulloch and Alyssa Reyes went 2-0 in doubles for the Panthers. McKenzie Thompson and Martina Calabi also went 2-0 in doubles play, as did the team of McKenna Meeks and Madison Goyeau.

Cara Bender finished 2-1 in singles for Cimarron.

Faith Lutheran 16, Centennial 2 — At Centennial, Kennedy Barr and Paige Earlanger each went 2-0 in singles as the Crusaders rolled past the Bulldogs.

Macie Stratton was 1-1 in singles for Centennial.

Coronado 17, Basic 1 — At Basic, Megan King was 2-0 in singles as the Cougars rolled past the Wolves.

Megan Balmer and Taylor Inholt went 2-0 in doubles for Coronado.

Desert Pines 9, Western 1 — At Desert Pines, the doubles teams of Yazaret Arredondo and Shelly Alvarado, and Cassandra Bueno and Wislande Olibrice each went 3-0 as the Jaguars topped the Warriors.

Adelson School 12, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Adelson School, the Lions beat the Miners by forfeit.

Foothill 11, Silverado 7 — At Foothill, the Falcons swept the doubles sets to defeat the Skyhawks.

The teams of Brandon Maroushek and Aaron Guintu, Jeron Bodin and Stefan Sretenovic, and Nathan Young and Ben Crawford each went 2-0 for Foothill.

Silverado’s Seth Forstner and Constandinos Pappas each went 3-0 in singles.

Faith Lutheran 11, Centennial 7 — At Centennial, Max Blum went 3-0 in singles to lead the Crusaders over the Bulldogs.

Jack Marshall and Ryan Brooks went 3-0 in doubles for Centennial.

Justin Madsen went 2-1 in singles for the Bulldogs.

Legacy 10, Shadow Ridge 8 — At Legacy, Hector Rios and Alexander Olive went 2-1 in doubles as the Longhorns edged the Mustangs.

Coronado 16, Basic 2 — At Basic, Wesley Harris and Jonah Blake finished 3-0 in doubles as the Cougars defeated the Wolves.
