BOYS TRACK: Crusaders take four-team meet in Overton

Chase Wood and Mark Rubalcaba each won two individual events Wednesday to help Faith Lutheran’s boys track team win a four-team meet in Overton.

The Crusaders had 117 points. Boulder City was second with 96, followed by Clark with 91 and Moapa Valley with 61.

Rubalcaba won the 100-meter dash in 11.01 seconds and the 200 in 22.38.

Wood took the 800 in 1:59.69 and the 3,200 in 10:16.68.

Moapa Valley’s R.J. Hubert won the 110 hurdles in 15.13 and took the high jump with an effort of 6 feet.

Wolves top Foothill

At Foothill, Frank Harris, Daniel Peveler and Kendrick Peterson each won two individual events to lead Basic to a 86½-50½ win over the Falcons.

Harris won the 200 (22.53) and the high jump (5-10). Peterson took the 800 (2:06.35) and 1,600 (4:47.4), and Peveler was first in the 400 (53.27) and 3,200 (11:12.43).

Foothill’s Kevin Woodland won the 100 (11.41) and the long jump (20-6).

Gators run past Eldorado

At Green Valley, Justin Bernard and Brady Williams each won two individual events as the Gators rolled to a 133-13 win over Eldorado.

Bernard took the 100 (11.38) and 200 (22.98), and Williams captured the discus (174-3) and shot put (54-3).

Eldorado’s Shane Barnes won the 110 hurdles (16.81) and high jump (6-0).

Las Vegas downs Valley

At Valley, Marcus Hastings won two individual events to lead the Wildcats to a 75-62 win over the Vikings.

Hastings won the high jump (5-10) and the long jump (22-5) and was second in the 300 hurdles.

Brendan Orphan and Desmond Hudson each won two events for Valley.

Orphan won the 110 hurdles (15.5) and the triple jump (39-5), and Hudson took the shot put (44-4) and discus (139-1).

Skhyawks down Patriots

At Silverado, Cody Hudson and Vinny Butera each won two events to lead the Skyhawks to a 79-67 win over Liberty.

Hudson won the 110 hurdles (15.0) and 300 hurdles (40.3). Butera was first in the 1,600 (4:56.5) and 3,200 (11:29.6).

Cougars top Rancho

At Coronado, Koy Harris won the 110 hurdles (16.42) and finished second in the 300 hurdles to lead the Cougars to a 93-53 win over Rancho.
